However, if you are able to play extremely well in certain wild card games like Deuces Wild, then you'll have a lot of opportunities to play profitable games since the full pay version of Deuces Wild has a payout rate of over 100 percent. The most difficult scenarios to master in this game are drawing scenarios, and we're going to look at some advanced situations that can come up that regard breaking made hands in certain situations. Imagine that you are dealt a made flush that includes a since wild deuce. Most of the time, you would keep your made hand since it's a guaranteed prize for a decent payout. However, there are plenty of opportunities to break those made hands profitably, and that's one of the things that we're going to look at here. Suppose you are dealt a flush with 98742. Should you keep the flush, or should you discard the four and draw to a straight flush? In this particular scenario, you should break your flush and discard the four, and now we're going to show you how to tell when you should do this. The main criterion for breaking a made flush is the following: You should break the hand if and only if you have three consecutive non-wild cards that are five and higher. In the example above, you had the 987 group which is three consecutive non-wild cards that fit the five and higher criterion. That means that you should discard the four and go for the straight flush draw. Some people might wonder about situations with no wild cards, and here's how it breaks down. You should never break a flush unless you have four to a royal. Also, you should choose four secutive cards to a straight flush over three to a royal, and three to a royal is better than four to a regular flush. This rule covers almost every complicated draw scenario that will come up with no wild cards in your hand, so it's an important rule to remember. If you follow the guidelines we have laid out here, then you'll be well on your way to playing expert-level Deuces Wild video poker.
