Post Why online casinos change their bonuses
I find it frustrating that online casinos do this in general but it makes sense as to why they're always changing their welcome bonuses. After talking to a friend of mine who owns a small offshore sports book he explained to me exactly why this is done and happens this way. The fact of the matter is that there's a lot of competition with online casinos, sports books, bingo rooms and any where else online that you can place a bet. Because of this it's quite evident that they all want to remain competitive and thus as a result have implemented changes from time to time in their bonus structures both for the welcome bonus offering and for the regular loyalty bonuses and other types of offerings that they make available at their casinos. I think that it's a good thing and a bad thing. It's a good thing because new players are getting these great bonuses and can take advantage of what often and in fact most of the times becomes a much better bonus offering. I think that for me personally though I get a bit frustrated at the fact that they do it because I too would have wanted to take advantage of the better bonus offer and a an existing player can't go back and become a first time depositor at the casino. I think that they should entitle players who have been with the casino the difference in the bonus from that of what they got when they joined to any new bonus that's offered. I think that this way it would be really fair to both new players as well as that of any existing players who have been loyal to the casino and it makes everyone even in the end.

Just a rant nothing too important wanted to share my opinion here on the board though as everyone really seems nice here on the site.

Thanks to anyone whose listened :)

It is what it is IMHO and the fact of the matter is that online casinos although not perfect are still in most cases for many of us myself included more convenient then making your way out to land based casinos. I understand your point and get what you're saying as well but I do however think that online casinos have the right to change their bonuses especially their welcome bonuses without the need to try to please those who are existing players. Sure I too would love it if they'd do what you've proposed here but it's not likely that they would and more then that it wouldn't make any financial sense to the. They generally do go out of their way at times if you're a good players with them to continue to give you credits to your account. Perhaps if you ask some of the casinos that you play at for some extra credits or better bonuses that you'd get one. Sometimes that's all it takes.

I think it is justified as well and beleive that they're acting in the best interest of new players that they can draw into the casino vs. that of thinking about how chaining the welcome bonus would affect their existing players. I think that I'm going to have to agree with beacher here.

Yeah I suppose you have to be a high roller to get this kind of entitlement though at online casinos. I get credits but not like the credits and free comps I get when I first start playing. Would be nice to be able to get that kind of deposit bonus every time. In fact I've just found an online casino that does kind of offer such a bonus and will continue playing there. The 20K 100% match up to $1000 free that Go Casino offers is pretty much the same as though you're a new player at their casino for the first 20 deposits you make which is pretty great!

Most online casinos are pretty generous with their giving of bonuses especially if you're an existing player with them as it costs them less to keep you as a player then to go out and seek new players. I beleive that if you're finding that you don't feel like you're being rewarded to the point that you'd like you should try playing at other casinos and take advantage of several welcome / first time deposit bonuses. Go Casino is a great casino to play at and their 20,000 bonus is one that goes on for what would seem like forever. Good choice on that front!
