Post When should I cash out when playing at casinos?
When playing at an online casino I'd like to know when it's considered to be an optimal time to cash out. I spend most of my time playing slots games and have won on a few occasions but find that I tell myself oh just play till you get down to an even $1000 before cashing out. Usually what happens when I try this approach is that I stop winning and then just start loosing and it's very difficult to get back up to that point.

What's the rule on cashing out and when should I do it?

I'd just like to know so that next time I'm on a good streak I know when I should quit while I'm ahead :)

Thanks,
Raymond

Cash out when you're ahead of the game whenever you can!

I've made the mistake on numerous occasions not to cash out when I was up from where I started and then I find myself back to square one if I continue playing.

Take for example just now I was playing online and I won $2300 however I played a bit more and ended up loosing $600 before I could loose anymore I committed to cashing out and I'm going to stick with it. I started with $100 so it is possible to make some decent coin online with a little bit of luck.

With this said though I'll likely end up putting this back into the casino over time but still at least I have some spending cash right now that I can play with until the next time I really have an urge to play!

It's really up to you and I think that the timing as per when you cashout should really be based on how much you've won. If for example you put in a few hundred and win a few thousand I would say that this is a sizable enough win that you should probably make a withdrawal and stick to it making sure that you don't reverse withdrawal. You can always add a few hundred back into the casino at any time you'd like as well.

I do things a little different. Is set a goal before even the first spin when I begin a session at an online casino. If I start with a few hundred I'll usually set my goal to be about 3x what I deposit. If I ever achieve this I'll withdrawal no questions asked I just do it and stick to my guns. If you start second guessing yourself and play a few more spins or a few more hands in blackjack or your other favorite casino game you'll often times find that the slope back to loosing your money is much quicker then the amount of time that it took you to actually win that much and build to a comfortable point.

You should always cash out or quit for the day while you're ahead!

Have a nice weekend everyone!

All the best,
Flint

Always set you limits before you start. Never bet anything you can't afford to lose. If you're winning always set your cash out point increasing it as you win but never ever lower it. If you started with $100.00 and get up to $150.00 keep playing but cash out if you fall back to $125.00. If you get up to $200.00 keep playing and increase your cash out point to $150.00 and so on. Casino's thrive on greed it's their bread & butter play smart not greedy take them for a little each time you play. Hit and get out if you stay too long you will eventually give it all back to them what a shame!
