I'm not sure how many of you guys out there have noticed savings by playing at online casinos as opposed to playing at land based casinos but for me personally I've seen about a 20% savings in my annual gambling expenditures as opposed to the same time last year. I beleive it's quite simple I'm not spending nearly as much on getting myself to Vegas or accommodations. Additionally I beleive that the rewards that are seen by playing online which include the bonuses that are offered by internet casinos in addition to the higher payout percentages that are offered in their games definitely makes for a more profitable experience when playing online overall. I was quite surprised when I did the math and especially since I play a lot more online then the with respect to the number of trips that I actually used to take to Vegas.

I can see that. I've never looked at the numbers close enough myself to be able to see if that is in fact the case with me as well but I could see how it would be. You ultimately end up spending less playing online and winning more so playing online is definitely superior in that respect. However playing online isn't the same as playing in land based casinos and the satisfaction that you get from visiting and being in a land based casino is definitely outweighed by that of playing online.

I suppose it kind of depends on your character but really the thrill and excitement of a place like Las Vegas especially is far more then that of playing online. It just depends I guess what part you're looking at and since you're looking specifically at the savings then I have to agree with you!

Really eh I wouldn't think that you'd see all that much in way of savings by playing at online casinos in fact I think that for the hardcore gambler and those who are obsessed with playing it would be quite the opposite actually. I guess for you guys though that you're pretty well disciplined gamblers and don't get carried away when playing at online casinos which is very commendable.

Hey Canadagirl... I think that you may spend more but you win more and spend less on things like travel. So if you cut say 2K out of the equation that you'd pay if you were to travel to a gaming destination like Las Vegas or Atlantic City you do in fact wind up saving money by playing online. Controlling your spending habits and not gambling in excess of what you would if you were to be playing in Las Vegas is key. Also obviously because people have the casino at their fingertips it's a lot easier to play more then you would and more often then by playing in land based casinos which is what needs to be controlled. If you play as often as you play offline then you'll obviously save money but if you're not and playing a lot more money though the casino then you'll definitely loose more it all depends on how you look at the whole thing!

That sounds like it all makes sense I have to agree to some extent but also disagree with some of the points.

Don't really think there's much savings. In Vegas at least you end up spending a lot of time outside of the casino and doing other things. At the same time I suppose that when you do play online there is the benefit of being able to play smaller denomination tables whenever you really want whereas at land based casinos you don't really have this option.

It's all really relative to the kind of player that you are and how much you spend really whether you save. There's no question about it that when you have access to an online casino right at your finger tips that you can without a doubt end up spending more then when you visit a land based casino every so often. Playing online is just so easy in general.

I would love it if there were savings that could be seen by playing at online casinos vs. that of land based casinos. Fact of the matter is though well for me at least that I end up spending more simply because it's much easier to play online then at land based casinos if you don't have one all that close to where you live.

Its more savings than land based casinos in vegas, at online casinos you can afford to budget your earnings when playing
its more cheaper than in vegas despite of all the things that surrounds it.
