So it's 2010 now and the US legislature is about to commence their 2010 session which one of the first things they'll be discussing will be the regulation of online casinos and other gambling online. Attempts back in 2009 to apply enforcement of the UIGEA were stumped and deferred for several months so now is a great opportunity to implement proper legislation in order to properly regulate the online gambling industry. I'm very much hopeful towards a favorable outcome to the 2010 session regarding online gambling and beleive that a positive outcome is what's really needed here in order for the land based gaming industry to survive long term. Land based casinos such as those found in Las Vegas and Atlantic city really need to get on the ball here and this is undoubtedly the way it has go in order for them to survive long term.

Sounds very much like we may see some progress in the right direction this year. I'm really personally looking forward to this and beleive that we'll see a lot of good come from this!

Although the benefits of regulation are pretty immense the fact of the matter is that there's still a pretty large opposition towards the regulation of online gambling in the US so for something to pass a lot of these politicians would need to have their views swayed in such a way that it would be in favor of any such bill which I don't know will happen all that quickly.

If we do see regulation in 2010 it's going to open up so many doors and just make gambling that much of a bigger industry.

Looking forward to a bright future for all you Americans out there in 2010. I beleive this will be the year that you guys can play freely and without issue!

Agreed really looking forward to this as it will undoubtedly create more competition in this industry and thus we'll likely see some better, newer and exciting products being produced. I think that there will be quite a lot of change in the entire gambling industry both online and offline when regulation has been set into motion and things have passed!

Regulation of this industry will certainly make things a lot better. I'm really looking forward to having something come forth this year and if not hopefully in 2011 but if we see regulation in the online gambling industry this year there will be some great changes to come.

We really are at the forefront of this thing right now aren't we... lol... well it seems like we'll likely be making history this year with this all. I think that it will be great to see and be a part of. I for one know that I'm really looking forward to this and the whirlwind of benefits that will originate from this. I beleive that we are really at the brink of something great here and that 2010 will really help shape what happens in the gaming industry.
