I had a friend ask me the other day what the most important thing is when playing at an online casino. I told him that when it comes to playing online that there are several things that are important to look at. I put together a list of 5 things for him that I though would be useful and wanted to know if you guys would concur with me.

1. Find a trusted online casino to play at.
-> To do so look at common casinos that are represented on the top online casino portals out here and choose from one of them.

2. Make sure that the casino you choose to play allows play in the country where you're a resident.
-> Because some online casinos don't accept players from certain countries I told him to make sure of this as it's a waste of time otherwise.

3. If you have trouble depositing using a credit card don't just abandon the casino try another card and if that doesn't work try an alternate banking option out there.
-> I myself have done this where I've downloaded software then abandoned the online casino because I couldn't make a deposit the first time. Be patient is what I've told him.

4. Make sure that you test their withdrawal time.
-> Some online casinos have restrictions on how long it takes for you to get all your money. I told him to try to find and stick to online casinos that offer quick withdrawals.

5. Ensure that you can get speedy access to customer support services at the casino you decide to play at.
-> I'm sure we've all had problems reaching the customer support staff at online casinos. I think that good customer support is one of the key factors and emphasized this to him.

Let me know what you guys think and whether there's anything else I should add to my list or revise.

Your list I would say is adequate. There are a few more things that I'd mention to your friend however. I mean although bonuses aren't by any means the most important thing that you should look for in an online casino they are still an incentive to go and play at certain ones. As a result I would have to say that you should recommend to your friend that playing at an online casino that supports and offers a decent bonus with wagering requirements that are not too stringent would be good as well.

Additionally based on where he's from you may want to mention just mention that if he is from the US that there are only certain sites and sites that are powered by certain software providers where he can play. This would be cause for less frustration after he downloads installs and creates an account only to find out that he can't play say at a Microgaming casino. This is only applicable obviously if he's from the US. I see now though that you already made mention of this as being one of your point.

Otherwise though I think your list is a good set of criteria to follow when looking for a quality online casino to play at!

One of the things I used to look at was the payout percentages at casinos that I was considering playing at. Most of the online casinos these days however have very similar payout percentages from what I understand.

I think that your list is complete and the points you make are all valid.

I'm in agreement and think your list of requirements is complete. I think that playing at casinos is also a personal thing and a casino that I like may not be of interest to you and visa versa. I think that your approach with your friend should be as such that you advise him/her to play at as many different online casinos as they can and then make their own decision on where they want to play.
