Post Noticed something at Playtech online casinos.
Today while playing at a Playtech online casino that I really enjoy playing at I noticed something interesting that I never noticed before. I noticed that if there is no activity at the casino and you're in a game you get booted from the game. If you wait even longer the casino will automatically log you out from the casino. This is different then what I've seen most other online casinos do in that if you are in a game and you come back you'll still be logged into the casino and be able to continue playing where you left off. I like this option better and prefer being able to come back to the casino and just play again. I guess it's not really that big of a deal and me being more lazy then anything else but it's still kind of a pain to have to go in and re-login to the casino and go back to the game that I left the casino on before I left. Anyways it's just something that I noticed and I was curious about really why they do this does anyone have any ideas why they might?

Don't get me wrong I really love and enjoy playing at Playtech online casinos and especially at Play United casino which is in my opinion the best Playtech online casino currently out there. Some of the new slots games that are being introduced into their library of casino games are fantastic and rival that of the best online casino platforms out there. I'm really impressed and happy to see that Playtech has taken some initiative with improving and better the slots gaming expereince within their casinos.

Thanks in advance to any members who reply to my post.

Hey Adam,

I agree the new Playtech casino games are terrific a big step forward in their slots games that's for sure.

As per your question as to why they log you out when there's in activity I beleive it's to reduce the number of active connections on their servers so as to maximize their efficiency. If they were to keep all connections active even for those players who are not playing that could result in quite a bit of loss in efficiency as those open connections cost them to keep them open I beleive. It's definitely not as convenient as Microgaming's software who keep you logged in all the time but it's a small price to pay I would say.

Cheers!

I don't think this is really all that big of a deal. If you get booted it's not all that difficult to go back re-login to the casino.

The one thing I do find annoying about Playtech's software is that when you're in a game and in the middle of say a hand in blackjack they don't let you leave to play another game to come back and complete the game later. It's a bad system design if you ask me. I kind of thing the getting booted after a certain amount of allotted time is also bad design on their part. Most other software providers do a better job of handling this.

I beleive that they do this in order to preserve as much system resources as they can for their gaming servers that are probably located somewhere offshore. Perhaps Microgaming doesn't care about the bandwidth costs of keeping open connections active even if they aren't being used but Playtech and their online casino operators obviously do.
