Post I can't beleive Microgaming casinos aren't accepting US!
This is ridiculous as a long time player of casinos online I have played at many different online casinos including Playtech, Cryptologic (when both used to accept U.S. players, and others).

Microgaming was by far the best online casino software out there and I have loved playing at their online casinos, and now due to a little pressure from the U.S. Government they're shutting down access to new U.S. players. This is absolutely ridiculous and makes Microgaming a weak company in my eyes.

I understand the issue that's going on in Kentucky right now but come on Microgaming have some balls and stay in this. The U.S. market accounts for a huge chunk of the global economy and moreover the funds are more easily accessible then that of foreign countries.

Anyways I just heard about their pulling out and needed to vent. Microgaming is a great company in reality but sometimes I question their decisions such as this one.

If anyone has any inside information or can shed some additional light on the subject I'm sure that not only I but other members of this message board would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Bentobox

Hi and welcome to the Forum Bentobox we agree and disagree with you here at Casino Advisor at the same time.

The decision for Microgaming to leave the United States was not an easy one from what we've found via our sources and in fact Microgaming have been far more committed to the U.S. market then other gaming software companies.

It all comes down to liability, exposure and the cost of maintaining a presence in the United States. There comes a time where it's no long as lucrative and worth the effort from their perspective due to their legal exposure and potential liabilities should other U.S. states follow suite similar to how Kentucky has done. It's very possible that Kentucky has opened up the door to other states doing the same and if this is the case then it will become increasingly difficult and add further liabilities to both gaming software companies, opperators, affiliates and executives of any of the aforementioned.

Microgaming is a professional internationally recognized company and leader in development of online gaming systems. For them to maintain a presence in the United States could potentially jeopardize their company as a whole vs. dropping access to their operator casinos and focusing on the rest of the world as it would seem like their doing.

Anyways we hope this ads some clarity to the situation.

I suppose this is a big news that I wanted to post on in regards to this thread I stared ages go.

It appears as though Microgaming is going to be coming back into the game and has licensed their software to BetWare who will apparently be taking on US bets again. So once again it seems like we'll have Microgaming quality online casino games without the restrictions we were facing and having to deal with up until now. This is fantastic news IMO!

It's been like this actually for quite some time now which is unfortunate. On the bright side I've heard that you can play all the same great Microgaming online casino games as they've basically re-released their software unbranded (no Microgaming information on any of the casino games, etc...). I suppose they've done so to mitigate some of the risks associated with Microgaming being tied to US online gambling but it seems to be working whatever they're doing right now.

Microgaming software casinos are very complicated with the U.S. government they have to deal with it in the legal way for them to determine the possibilities may come.
