I know that no download online casino software that is offered by the online casinos of today has become less and less popular and that most of the online casino software providers have started putting far less emphasis on continuing the development of their no download software client.

My question is really just to get some thoughts as to whether people out there think that the days for no download software are numbered and as to whether people feel as though they will eventually stop the development of no download casino software and eventually phase it out. I'm kind of torn as to what's going to happen as someone whose involved in the tech sector myself. When I see google pushing for a no-download web based desktop it makes me wonder as to whether download software will be a thing of the future at the same time. I really wonder what's going to happen moving forward and really have no clue. I know that the download version of online casino software out there is far superior of that of the no download software just in the ability to control things on the users desktop but at the same time the convenience of no download software is huge.

It's not a super important discussion to be had here on the message board of Casino Advisor but it's something that I've been curious about and just wanted to know what other people think about the subject.

I don't really think that there's all that much of a future for no download online casinos either. I also agree with you in that online casinos are starting to pay less attention to them and more attention to their download software. There's no doubt that regardless of whether they use Flash or Java to build no download online casinos that there are certain limitations that cannot be overcome with today's technology. I think that no download casino software is already starting to be phased out. More then that though I think that newer companies that are developing software don't really bother with developing no download software any more and I think it's probably better that they do things this way focusing their development efforts on download online casino software.

Provided that some of the limitations that you're describing are overcome I personally beleive that there still may be some sort of a future for the no download online casino and that the future of it really lies in the grouping of technologies and the evolution of technology that's currently used. I think that one of the big limitations right now is that most no download online casinos are programed using flash and because of this there are some issues like slow downs on spins and cards that are dealt if your PC isn't very fast. I think that it's key even with today's no download online casinos that players have good PC's when playing them.

I started playing at no download software online casinos as far back as when Slotland was a big thing, lol... that casino is a joke to me know. There's no doubt that there is a certain amount of convenience in playing at a casino that uses no download online casino software but in the end I think that all players who are serious about playing at online casinos will eventually move over to playing at download software type online casino environments.
