I've been finding more and more that my e-mail box is being filled with a load of spam. Both from online casinos that I've registered at and those that I've never played at nor created an account at in the past. I've unsubscribed from many of them and have found that the ones that I've unsubscribed from are fine and no longer bombarding me with their online casino spam, however there are a number of casinos that are still spamming the heck out of me to try and play their casinos.

I knew that spam was an issue which is why I use a secondary account for all e-mails related to sign-ups at the casinos that I've been playing at but it's crazy to thing that online casinos are selling e-mail lists to other casino operators.

Do you guys also find that you get a lot of spam e-mail? If so do you use an alternate e-mail address like myself?

I think anyone whose ever created an account with an online casino get's blasted with e-mails from the casino

One important thing to always do when creating an account with an online casino especially if you're not interested in receiving any promotional offering or other details with regards to what's new and hot at the casino or their group of casinos is to "opt out" of their mailing list. This will hopefully ensure that you won't get slammed with any spam. The fact is that it's unlikely though as online casinos are just as notorious for spamming as online pharmaceutical companies and adult companies... well maybe not as bad but damn sure close.

I used to get a lot of spam e-mail but I did what you did and created a separate account that I can use just for casino e-mails. I don't check it very often though. My primary e-mail address I never sign-up for anything with. I think it's good practice to do this and think that you have the right idea. I'd create a gmail account if I were you as well as they're good at even tracking down legitimate casino e-mails vs. those that are spam.

I get a lot of casino spam as well unfortunately when I first started I didn't actually think that it would become an issue. Boy was I wrong... since then I have gone though 2 e-mail addresses. It seems that as soon as you sign-up with one casino and use your real e-mail address that you start getting hit with tons of junk spam e-mails.

Anyways I've found that switching your e-mail address from time to time is a quick and efficient way to deal with this issue.

The spam I get from online casinos definitely rivals that of what I get from porno companies out there. I've given up on a few addesses. There's not much you can do once they get a hold of your e-mail address they'll spam the heck out of you.

I think however if you play at well regulated online casinos and those for example that are eCOGRA certified you should be ok and won't receive an abundance of spam as they try to control this (eCOGRA) that is.

There's nothing more annoying online then spam, adware/spyware and viruses.

I think that Phizzle has the right idea an system that requires that you white list people before receiving their e-mail will significantly reduce if not eliminate the amount of spam that you get.

One thing to keep in mind from what I understand of these systems is that they're good if you're doing a lot of communication directly with people. However if you're signing up for something or sending a customer support request to a casino, etc... where there is an automated "no-reply" type e-mail address you may have problems in retrieving those e-mails. I suppose that the best thing to do in that case where you're using your e-mail address for sign-ups somewhere is to create a separate e-mail address that you can use.

I agree with you all in that these kinds of services are pretty good at blocking spam. I think that gMails system by google is also really good at filtering out spam and is worth a shot for you guys.
