Post Do I use credit cards to deposit at online casinos?
Never having played at an online casino yet I'm interested but would like to know if I should try using my credit cards to make my first deposit. I've heard that some people have issues with depositing using credit cards and just wanted to know. I used to play online poker but haven't for a few years now so I'm not sure if I should expect some of the same problems that I was encountering towards the end of my play at online poker rooms at online casinos.

If you guys have some suggestions for me and also which type of credit card I should use that would be greatly appreciated. I'm not sure if it helps you guys to know that I'm located in the US or not but any info you could provide me with I'm sure will be of help!

Thanks,
Julian

Hi Julian,

Well let me be the first to welcome you to the world of online casinos! They can be a lot of fun but they can also be frustrating so there are some things that you need to know about in regards to depositing using credit cards especially if you're from the US.

There are some issues in regards to depositing via credit cards that you may encounter as a first time depositor at an online casino. If you do however don't worry it doesn't mean that you'll never be able to use that credit card just simply that the casino is probably processing the credit card transactions using the coded system of doing so using 7995. This will likely prevent you from being able to make a deposit if they are doing so a good percentage of the banks in the US don't allow 7995 transactions to go though.

My advice to you is that you encounter this to either try another card that you have that may be with another bank. If you don't have another card they you're going to likely want to try depositing at a different casino. A lot of the US facing online casinos out there have different payment processing companies that they work with and thus some are able to process transactions that some cannot and also a lot of them process transactions using an uncoded system of processing. If you still find that you have problems you're going to want to look into some of the deposit options out there that will accept US players.

Hope this helps you out my friend!

Credit card would be my first choice if I lived in the US but I currently use both credit card and NETeller from where I live. I really like the NETeller banking option however if you're from the US unfortunately you can't use their banking option :(

I like using credit cards to deposit at casinos as it's quick and easy so long as your transaction goes though. If you have problems try another card and if that persists simply try opening up an eWallet account with one of the providers that's still accepting or allowing US players to register and user their services!

julianm,

You can use the credit card for payment at online casino and i think this is the best way. Well it depends on the particular casino which type of card they accepts.

I don't consider myself an expert as I haven't been playing at online casinos for nearly as long as many of the people who are on this site but I do know for sure that credit cards as a viable deposit option still remain the most effective and easiest option for people regardless of whether they're from the United States or abroad.
