I'm not sure whether it happens or not but in other businesses or when you get checks you can get stiffed!

There's a chance that they can simply cancel the check or go NSF with the check which would ultimately lead to you getting stiffed on the payment and not getting winnings that you may have cashed out from a casino. The reason I ask is because I've accumulated a decent amount of winnings at one of the casinos I've been playing at more aggressively lately and I'd like to cash out my winnings and though I would just have them send me a check for which I could then go and deposit into my bank account. I'm not quite sure though if this would be a problem and really wanted to know whether I'd actually be stiffed for the payment or whether everything would go smoothly.

If you guys have any other suggestions for a withdrawal option that I should perhaps take advantage over over check that would be more reliable it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks as always!

Ray

I think that this is only a concern depending on where you're playing if you play at a reputable online casino then I don't think you should have any worries about making withdrawals from the casino using check as your preferred withdrawals option.

Check does take a while to process and actual secure the funds so that they've cleared in your bank account. Most banks have a hold period on international checks and there's a pretty good chance that the check will be coming from an international bank which could result in even further delays.

I think that wire transfer is a good option because you know that when the funds have arrived into your account and there's been no problems getting them there that no issue should come about there on in.

You might also want to look at creating one or more eWallet accounts to withdrawal funds from which I beleive would be a good way to take money out at your leisure and never bring them into the country where ever you might live.

Not sure if that's of any help to you but I hope it helps!

I personally don't think it would happen and that you have all that much to be worries about honestly. Although I do agree that you should be played at reputable casinos and that would ultimately make the difference as to whether you do in fact get your money or not!

Sure like you said anyone can stiff a check payment by bouncing the check on your or canceling the check right after they sent it out for example. I don't think that this happens very often. I think that more likely what would happen is that the bank (your bank where you're depositing the check) may find out that the company whose sent this check is some how affiliated with online gambling and because of this they simply won't credit it to your account and may very well send the check back. If this ever happens what you'd need to do then is contact the casino, send the original check back (you should be able to get your hands on this). But as per casinos simply stiffing on the payment I don't really see this at least for 99% of the online casinos out there!
