Post Online Poker Rooms Vs. Online Casino Poker
I've always been a big fan of playing video poker at casinos whether they be online casinos or land based casinos that I'd normally visit if I were to go to Vegas or other gaming destination that I frequent. There's such a vast difference between video poker though and playing this sort of poker online as opposed to playing in online poker rooms which have become overwhelmingly popular on the web in the past several years. I find that both offers something unique and fun but lately I've been more and more ditching the casino gaming that I used to spend a lot of my gaming entertainment dollars towards and am now playing at Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker fairly regularly.

I mean don't get me wrong video poker at online casinos is fun but it lacks a certain social element that poker playing in poker rooms can provide albeit you may not be communicating with players directly as this would and could very well constitute a form of collusion but the feeling you get when playing in a poker room is one with more of a social feel to it.

Anyways the purpose of my post here today is really just to find out if players who play at online casinos here also tend to enjoy playing poker and find that they too spend a lot more time playing in poker rooms then playing video poker game variations at the online casinos they used to play at?

Post Re: Online Poker Rooms Vs. Online Casino Poker
I like both I do play quite a bit of poker at real online poker rooms these days and was big on trying to win a seat at the WSOP at one point but I find that I try to on average balance my time between online poker rooms and playing video poker at online casinos. I think each offers characteristics that are completely unique to the other so it's really hard to say as my belief it that they're both so different.

At online poker rooms I enjoy the fact that I know that I'm playing against other players and that there's an element of skill involved whereas when it comes to playing video poker online although you are playing against the RNG at online casinos it's still very exciting to complete and make hands, to double up and just to play video poker. If you're a video poker fan you'll know what I mean.

Anyways all in all I do tend to play both poker rooms and video poker and divide my time up between them. Although I'm also a big slots player so I would say that I probably spend more time in the casino then in poker rooms.

See ya... Rubin.

I like both as well but for me personally I prefer video poker over Texas Holdem, Omaha and other forms of draw poker that's played in poker rooms. I find playing video poker to be far more relaxing. I'm not knocking it however as I still think it's great it's just a preference thing pretty much like everything else when it comes to gaming.

I'm a much bigger fan of Video Poker. I find playing table poker games to be far more stressful. I like playing on my own and I don't think that I'll change. I could definitely see why some players tend to enjoy table poker far more though. I guess it depends on your personality really.

I agree they're both so different so it's difficult to compare. I know that my dad actually he always confuses the two when I tell him that I'm playing poker he always thinks that I'm playing video poker. Truth be told though I actually enjoy really playing in poker rooms. I find that the big poker rooms are saturated with newbies and "fresh newbies, lol" that can really be taken advantage of... hahah... It's actually not my style but seems to be the way that things pan out sometimes. I beleive that it's a good thing that players are trying poker rooms though. Anyways I do enjoy playing both myself as well.
