Post Networked casino games with skill element?
I was in Vegas once and they had these casino games whereby they were networked either throughout the casino or both though the casino as well as though other casinos that were a part of the same land casino gaming group. I beleive the game was scrabble or a life type game (the board games that is). But the unique element and features to these games were that they were sort of board games that you got to play though the slot game itself that were networked though that made it more interesting. It made if feel as though you were playing against other players but I beleive it was all still random and designed like a regular slot machine game would be.

The advantage to games like these are really that you get to and have the opportunity to get a feel for playing against other players. If it is the case and you are in fact playing against other players what would be cool too would be if they were to introduce video cameras in the game so that if someone you're playing against is at another casino in Las Vegas that you can see what they look like facial, see their facial expressions, etc.

Does anyone out there know if any such games like these exist at any of the land based casino gaming operations that are available for play?

Thanks!

The only game that I've ever seen thus far that is even remotely close to this is actually the "Wheel of Wealth" video slot game. This game however doesn't really encompass any skill based elements. I think that you'll find that even the games that you were playing in Vegas were as such that the casino always had control over the odds in the game and your skill although may be perceived as being a factor that can influence the games wasn't in fact the case whatsoever.

Games that involve an element of skill would be far too risky to casino as a slot game. Although there are games of skill like blackjack these games are monitored very closely far more then slots games are. The casino doesn't really need to do much to monitor slots games the way things currently are.

Cheers.

I sort of agree with Liverpoolbaby on this one in that I really doubt that land based casinos especially would introduce elements of skill to their casino games. There's far too much for them at stake to put games into the casino where players can cheat if they're not being properly monitored. With table games as was mentioned it's not very easy to cheat unless you're counting cards and even then the casino can boot you out if they suspect that you're counting card.

I don't think that you'll find anything like you're looking for at least not yet. Maybe they'll do some of these games online but it may be a while still.

Networked skill based online casino games sounds like an amazing concept and games that I would undoubtedly play.

I've been to Las Vegas a number of times and haven't seen anything like what you're describing. I beleive that the closest thing that I've seen to this sort of thing in Las Vegas was in tournament play where players can play in Slots tournaments and the highest placer wins the jackpot.
