Thanks for the great post... You sound like you really know what you're talking about and just from my own observations of playing online I have to agree with pretty much everything you have to say.

I myself am a big fan of expanding wilds and wilds with multipliers and although I love bonus rounds both free spins and other kinds I think that these kinds of features in the main game of the slot are key to keep people interested and continuing to play. There's nothing more dull then a slot game that doesn't take these things into consideration and focus.

I too have played the Super Jackpot Party video slot game and also agree that the "Surprise" party type feature would be a big hit. It's hard enough to get into the bonus rounds in some of these games so why not add another element to the game that would allow players to enter into the games without hitting the combination required to hit the bonus game normally.

Anyways all great ideas I'm sure that many of the software companies who develop online casino software are getting closer to doing some of these features or more of them.

I kind of enjoy the simplicity of some of the slots I currently play online but do appreciate and respect games that are far more elaborate. I do play the video slots with bonus rounds and am quite a big fan of slots with free spins bonus rounds especially those that are a bit more dynamic (ie. multipliers in the free spins bonus round, stacked wilds, etc...).

I think that that the future of online slots and games in general when it comes to playing online are really dependent on where technology is at both in terms of hardware (ie. the computers the average user has access to) and the speed of the internet. I think that these two factors are part of the main reason as to why the same caliber of games that WMS and other providers offer haven't been reached as of yet. You're absolutely right that the ability to control the environment (ie. the machine / apparatus and the components within) is definitely the biggest advantage with land based slots games.

If software development firms are able to do things like decrease the size of their games and make them far more interactive (ie. more like traditional PC or console based games) then I think that bridging the Gap between online slots and those found offline would be far easier. I think that the game mechanics in most of the online casino games already mimics and is very close to that of what's found in land based casino games. One of the big differences though is the elaborateness the graphics and the overall expereince of the games played. I just went to the casino the other day and I don't mean to contraditc something that I posed the other day here on Casino Advisor mentioning that casino games online were almost the same as they are offline but it's not actually the case. The casino games offered by WMS have become more elaborate then I remember them and as you play them more and more you learn that they're far more detailed games with more elaborate bonus rounds, features, etc...

Anyways I think that technology will play a huge roll in the progression of slots entertainment when it comes to playing at online casinos!

Its really interesting to read what you guys have to say about the games online casinos offer. I'm currently doing some work with InterCasino and next week they'll be going live with their latest Cryptologic game Street Fighter IV. This is off the back of the success with not only the Street Fighter II game but also the Call of Duty slot game they released last year.

The SFIV slot game offers plenty of rewards for playing including free games; which you can play as the well known characters from the game. There are also 12 different enhancements to these free games to splice things up with different multiplier options.



I play a lot of video games on all the formats and personally I've found the slot games based on well known IP's to be really good fun. I can imagine as Phizzle suggested that casino games will continue to take leaves from the books of succesful video games.

Reading through these posts its clear you know what you like and have identified the elements in slot games you find most enjoyable. The SFIV game is released in less than a week on InterCasino and I'd be really interested to know what you guys make of it.

Yeah this new Street Fighter game looks awesome... I used to love playing this game. I still break out my old Nintendo every once in a while and play. The fact that they have an online casino slot that's based on the game is super.

More tournament play will definitely make online slots more exciting in addition to more elaborate multi-level bonus rounds. I think that they're already doing a pretty good job executing on the development of new slots games. Software providers certainly see the need for better slots games and are working diligently on accommodating this need if you ask me.
