Microgaming has recently implemented a new feature in some of their online casino slots games that I find to be quite handy. The feature is one that I've only ever before seen in Wizard Gaming software right within the game without the need to access any dialog box. Anyways the feature that I'm speaking of is the ability to toggle between coins and credits directly within the game. Just above the actual value that represents your current balance in some of the newer Microgaming games is a button (actually the button is the "coins" text) which if clicked on will switch the value representing your balance from "coins" to the "credit" equivalent value. I think it's quite a handy feature. Microgaming did have a lot of games at one point that did have a similar feature but before you'd have to access this feature within the options dialog. By doing it this new way they're saving us one step from having to open up the options dialog.

Having the option to switch between the two modes is fantastic. Sometimes I like to see the actual cash value of what I won vs. the coin value and having the ability to do so easily without the need to do any manual calculation is perfect. I too was aware of when Microgaming used to do this in some of their other games in the options menu but it did make it a pain to say the least opening up the options dialog changing the option closing the dialog then doing the same process to revert back to the other. Anyways having this option readily available within the game was a good move.

Yeah that does sound like a great feature. I think that me personally I would always prefer to be in a mode where I can see my winnings and balance as a unit of the currency denomination that I'm playing in vs. the coin value. It certainly makes it easier to figure out exactly how much you won with very little ambiguity.

Does certainly make it easy to switch back and forth between the two modes now vs. before. I've noticed though that they haven't done this on all their games though including their new games of which some don't even do the coin/credits toggling. I suppose they were just trying it for a game or two to see how it takes with players.
