Post What's going to be new with online casino sites in 2009?
I just wanted to start this thread to gather feedback from other members here on this message board regarding what their feeling were regarding what online casinos have in store for us in 2009.

My opinion is that big players in the industry and innovators such as Microgaming, Wizard Gaming and Playtech will push the boundries of online casino gaming to bring forth even better and more exciting online casino games to play with better features, better graphics, etc... IMHO there's no reason why online casinos shouldn't be able to hit the mark so as to parallel the quality of the gaming experience you get when you play slots games in land based casinos. Blackjack and other games are typically the same across all online software providers but truly what makes one stand out from the other is that of the quality of their slots games.

Other then that on the legal frontier I see more and more attempts by the US government to clamp down on online casinos and internet gambling in general within the United States. I really hope that proposed treasury bill that needs to be enacted and signed into law by George W. Bush before the end of his term isn't ready in time for him to do so. If it does get passed this it will make processing credit card transactions for US players even more difficult for online casino operators then it already is...

Anyways if anyone here has any thoughts or ideas on what's in store for 2009 please let me know as I'm very interested to hear others perspectives.

I just read an article that Cryptologic is planning on spending a whole whack of cash in putting together a new development team whose intentions will be to take their online casino and poker software clients to the next level. I believe that although they may not have a new product released in 2009 that there will be some great things to see from Cryptologic in years to come.

Currently their software is OK and their slots are what I would consider very average in the industry... hopefully they'll put some emphasis on their slots games and they realize that the bulk of their revenue is coming from players who engage in playing slots type games.
