Post No more Super7 lottery in Canada!
Not sure that there are many Canadians here on the board that really care but the OLGC which runs all of the land based casinos here in Ontario has recently scrapped the super 7 lottery. I'm kind of a little bitter though as they've replaced it with this new lottery which costs even more money. Damn it's becoming more and more of a money grab with any of these things it would seem. I would understand charging $5 per ticket if the size of the jackpots was the same as or close to that of what you'd find in the powerball and other mega jackpot lotteries in the US but it's not the case our jackpots for this new lottery will reach 50 million as opposed to well over 100 million. Anyways it's not that big of a deal all in all but it's just frustrating especially when you get used to playing a particular lottery week by week for several years in a row.

Sorry guys just felt like venting a bit and I find that all my online casino friends on here are great support!

I heard about this too actually they've been advertising it in all of the news papers across Canada I beleive not just in Ontario.

I don't think it's so much of a money grab as it is that they can now offer lottery jackpots that start at $10 million dollars and go up to $50 million dollars. The thing I don't really understand though is why they cap it at $50 million if enough tickets were sold and the jackpot could go up to say $100 million dollars then why the heck not! Anyways I'm sure they had their reasons for capping the new lotto.

Like you I also liked the Super7 draw and although I didn't play it religiously I still played it from time to time!
