I'm not really sure what the deal is but Harrah's who will likely be launching an internet casino soon or at least one to target and focus on the non US markets has apparently chosen the 888 online casino platform to be used. Personally I don't think this is by any means the best choice or option for them as there are much better choices. Of the options they have out there Microgaming would be my first pick. Although they are not a public traded company like 888 is they have a much better application and more then that they have full internationalized support within their software that exceeds that of 888's software 10 fold if you ask me. Of the other providers out there Playtech would be another far better choice. Their software also supports a better method of dealing with international languages then the 888 software and they are a public traded company. I'm surprised that a company like Harrah's hasn't really done their homework in this choice as it's a big choice when it's on this scale choosing the ideal software partner.

Yeah I would have to agree that it's really strange that they would have chosen 888 software over many options out there that are far superior.

I suppose like anything else though there could be a relationship there between 888 owners and Harrah's that we don't really know about that could have been a big part in influencing the deal.

I don't necessarily think 888 software is bad or anything I just think that there are far better options out there!

I agree completely with Phizzle in that these guys know what they're doing. Who know perhaps there will be a whole slue of changes and enhancements that will be made to the 888 platform to accommodate such a large client. It would be in their best interest if it was a licensing deal to ensure that Harrah's is kept extremely happy!

Agreed the software that 888 runs off from my limited experience with it makes me think that they'd be better off on a more complete package such as that of what Microgaming offers for example.

why harrah's choose 888 owner, well there is another complicated reason why he/she choose the software, i think there's a relationship between the launcher and the owner of the product i mean its more deep though like in business.
