Wizard Gaming Upgrades Software

Just when the online gaming industry had all but forgotten Wizard Gaming, the fledgling software provider surprised everybody by announcing an upgrade of its software. Wizard Gaming was the last in the news in August 2009 when its only licensee All Star Slots online casino decided to shift to Realtime Gaming software platform. That left Wizard Gaming without any online gaming operators. There was a general feeling that Wizard Gaming would either close down or put itself on the block. But none of that happened. Very quietly and without any fanfare Wizard Gaming acquired another licensee, Slots Country online casino, and last month announced that it had launched Version 6.0 of its software.

As has been a habit with Wizard Gaming, the upgrade was announced only by a small posting at the software developer's website. The details of the upgrade were not made available. However Wizard Gaming announced that the upgrade was accompanied by the launch of two new online slot games. These are the video slots Backstage Pass and Genius Trivia. Backstage Pass has the popular rock concert theme, with an assortment of rock musicians and singers as symbols on the reels. The old fashioned audio cassette and the gold disc also feature as symbols. Backstage Pass has a 20,000 coin fixed jackpot, expanding wild symbols that double payouts, the Guitar Solo bonus feature with up to 60 free spins and up to a 16x multiplier.

Genius Trivia is based on another popular theme, that of a game show where contestants answer trivia questions and win fabulous prizes. The symbols on the reels include some baffled contestants, the suave looking host and the exuberant hostess. The other symbols on the reels depict the prizes offered on these game shows such as cash, cars, mansions and exotic holidays. Genius Trivia has a whopping 70,000 coin fixed jackpot, wild symbols that quadruple payouts, the Trivia and Instant Cash bonus features with up to 24 free spins and up to a 12x multiplier.

These new slot games and all the other online casino games of Wizard Gaming can be played at Slots Country online casino, which at the moment is the only licensee of the software provider. Slots Country is a unique online casino because it offers games only in practice playing mode. In all there are 29 slot games, Vegas and European blackjack and Jacks or Better video poker. The slot game Main Course had been very popular at All Star Slots when that online casino was on the Wizard Gaming platform.

It's about time that we start seeing more from this gaming company. They were really good when they were running All Star Slots I know that I personally really enjoyed playing at their casino which was a really fun experience. I think that the addition of new games will only boost their reputation!
