Winning combinations only pay off if they are achieved on a payline that is enabled by the player. All combinations involving the regular symbols must read from left to right in order to pay. Multiple combinations are not paid off on a single payline; the highest winning combination on the payline will be awarded. Scatter wins and bonus wins are exceptions.

Four Bearded Boxers (wilds) on an enabled payline yields 300 coins. Five of them will bring 2000. That's a nice payoff. The scatter symbol (Boxer in Robe) pays less than the wild in terms of the actual winning combination. The difference is that the scatter symbol can appear anywhere on the five reels, so it doesn't have to be on an enabled payline. Five scatter symbols, anywhere on the reels, pays 100 coins.
