Casinomeister is a watchdog organization for online players. When players get stuck in dealing with online casinos, they often approach Casinomeister for assistance. Most of these problems are concerned with non-payment of winnings. Two complaints recently aired on Casinomeister deserve wider circulation.
One problem arose when the online casino Maharajah Club Casino changed its software supplier from Boss Media to Cryptologic. Online casinos can change their service providers but must do so in a manner that the players are not harmed. However at least one customer of Maharajah Club Casino was told that his payout would be delayed because of the changeover. The amount involved was $1,000. Later the player was asked to follow up with Webdollar, the organization being used by Boss Media to process payments. Webdollar denied any responsibility and sent the player back to the online casino. In this manner the player ran from pillar to post but to no avail. Out of desperation the player asked Casinomeister to intervene. Casinomeister provides free mediation service to genuine aggrieved online players. Casinomeister attempted to contact Maharajah Club Casino several times but the casino did not respond. As a last resort Casinomeister issued a caution on Maharajah Club Casino on its web site. Several online casinos have switched software providers and have done so seamlessly without disrupting operations or inconveniencing players. The technology for doing so is available. Hence this excuse does not appear to be valid.
The other issue deals with the withholding of winnings from bonuses. A player had accounts at both Winward and Slots Village Casinos, which are sister online casinos. She had winnings in both casinos. First she was told that she could not make withdrawals from both casinos in the same week. Later she was asked to play her $2,383 Winward winnings to $0 before she could withdraw her $439 winnings from Slots Village. When she pursued the matter with the casino executives they told her that she was a bonus abuser and a fraudulent player. The player then approached Casinomeister. Casinomeister was told that the player had engaged in parasite betting, which meant that the player made very small bets for days in order to reach the wagering requirements and only after that bet aggressively with their bonus money. However the casino had not indicated up front that this practice was not allowed. Now they were penalizing a player for doing something that was not banned and therefore assumed permissible. Ultimately the online casino offered her two choices, which only accentuated their absurd behavior. They asked her to admit in writing that she was a fraudulent player and take her winnings and leave the casinos or forgo her winnings and start playing from scratch. The player asked to be paid but the casino did not respond subsequently.
