Two Big Announcements From Microgaming

There have been two back to back announcements from Microgaming. One is the release of a new slot game. The other is the development of a new slot game. Perhaps, the second announcement is more interesting.

The new slot game already released is titled The Great Albini. It has a magic theme and can be played at Microgaming online casinos like All Slots, Gaming Club and Spin City. The Great Albini has been developed by Foxium, one of the independent studios exclusively attached to Microgaming. The high paying symbols are the magician, knife thrower’s target board, thimble and yellow canary. The low paying symbols are the usual playing card icons. The wild symbol appears only on reels 2 to 5. The Mystery Box Respin feature is triggered when a stack of three Mystery Box symbols appears on the middle reel. You get a number of respins to try increase the number of Mystery Box symbols. When the feature ends, the Great Albini will reveal the one symbol that will substitute for the Mystery Boxes. A giant 3x3 bonus symbol triggers 12 free spins that are played on a 5x6 reels set. During the feature, the Great Albini may magically produce his assistant Lily a 1x6 vertical wild symbol with a 2x multiplier on one of the three centre reels. A respin will be awarded for each continuous winning combination after that with the Lily Wild symbol locked in position.

The second announcement is that Microgaming will celebrate the 15th anniversary of the first Lara Croft branded slot titled Tomb Raider with a sequel. Actually this will be the third Lara Croft slot. The second one is Secret of the Sword. The new slot game is as yet untitled. It is being developed for Microgaming by Triple Edge Studios and will be released in 2019. Microgaming has revealed very little so far. The branded slot will feature Lara Croft “on a new quest of unearthing ancient trails and rewarding discoveries” and the players will participate in the adventures through the exciting game play. More information will be released by Microgaming at the ICE Totally Gaming 2019 in the first week of February. Hopefully the video slot’s title and flashes of the artwork and animation will be on display. This event is where Microgaming makes its big announcements.
