Taking Stock of Casino Progressive Jackpots

Sometimes no news becomes news, especially when one is expecting something to happen. There have been no million dollar plus progressive jackpots that have been hit in online casinos for more than two months now and some game somewhere is on the verge of exploding. The last big hit was the Playtech progressive online slots game Beach Life in the month of August. This happened at Joyland Casino and made Sylvia P. richer by over four million dollars.

Christmas is not that far away and one wonders which online progressive slots will bring cheer to some lucky player in the holiday season. The top contender is Microgaming's Mega Moolah. Going strong at $4.4 million it is growing at about $9,000 per day. The last hit was about six months ago and the one before that about a year ago. The last hit was $5.6 million and the one before that was $4.3 million. Therefore Mega Moolah is ripe. MegaJackpots from WagerWorks is at $3.4 million. This has not been hit before and so no predictions can be made. But anything in the million plus region attracts interest and wagering on this slots game is bound to increase. Clover Rollover and Aladdin's Lamp are both at $2.4 million. Aladdin's Lamp has given a similar payout almost three months back. Millionaire Genie from Random Logic is at $2.2 million and Gold Mega from PartyGaming is at $1.2 million.

There have been two near million dollar hits in October however and strangely it has been the same online game that has hit twice. This is Jackpot Pinatas from Real Time Gaming. Both hits have been over $900K and it is already above that level again. Prior to these hits Jackpot Pinatas had hit only $274K a year ago. This indicates unusually high interest in this game.

There are about half a done progressive slots with jackpots above the $700K mark. Roulette Royal from Microgaming is at $967K. This has never been hit. But this is a roulette jackpot and to hit it the same number predicted by the player has to be called five times in a row, therefore it is a tall ask. Shopping Spree from Real Time Gaming comes next at $897K, followed by Microgaming's Major Millions at $832K. Over the last two years Major Millions has yielded jackpots ranging from $361K to $1,094K and is therefore very unpredictable. Red White & Win from Vegas Technology is at $807K and King Cashalot from Microgaming is at $796K. About two years ago King Cashalot gave two million dollar plus yields in quick succession but since then it has been hitting at under million dollars. The next in line is Beach Life, which has already reached $746K.

Since progressive slots are games of chance it is anybody's guess which one will be the next to hit.
