Stormcraft Creates Fortunium For Microgaming Online Casinos

A new video slot has gone live last week at Microgaming online casinos like Blackjack Ballroom, Roxy Palace and All Slots. The development of this slot game was announced in February 2018 during the ICE Expo. Fortunium is not a direct Microgaming product. It has been developed exclusively for Microgaming licensees by Stormcraft Studios. When announcing the launch of Fortunium, Microgaming said that Stormcraft Studios will craft epic slot machines for them in the future. Fortunium is live across all platforms - desktop and mobile gaming.

The steampunk theme is not as pronounced in Fortunium as it has been in some of the earlier Microgaming slots like Phantom Cash. The background to the video slot is as follows. Fortunium was founded by Victoria and Maximillian, Victoria is an expert navigator and acclaimed explorer. Maximillian is an industrious inventor of mechanical marvels. The golden towers of Fortunium can be seen rising in the background to the uniquely structured reels. The slot machine has five reels and five rows of symbols with 40 fixed paylines.

The artwork is detailed and ornate. Victoria and Maximillian are dressed to the hilt in steampunk fashion and appear expanded over five rows. All other symbols are stacked over two rows. The high paying symbols are Victoria, Maximillian, treasure chest, airship, and ghost zapper. The low symbols are the playing card suits. The W logo is the wild symbol. It also awards the highest line payouts.

The set of emeralds is the scatter symbol. Two or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels award payouts multiplied by the total bet. Three or more scatter symbols trigger 10 free spins. During the feature reels 2, 3 or 4 can become Mystery Reeks. Three scatters create 1 Mystery Reel, four scatters create 2 Mystery Reels and five scatters create 3 Mystery Reels. These reels will have only Mystery Symbols. Each scatter symbol that appears during the feature will award one more free spin.

Mystery Symbols, represented by Question Marks, appear super stacked on the reels. At the end of each spin, all the Mystery Symbols on the reels are converted to the same regular symbol. Fortunium allows aggressive players to activate the Win Booster feature. You will have to pay an additional wager equal to 50% of your normal total bet. The additional amount will not be considered for making payouts. But the Mystery Symbols will change only into the high paying symbols and wild symbols and this will more than recover the additional investment.
