Spin3 and Mobile GamingBy: CasinoAdvisor.com, Friday October 10th 200811 Comments Email Print The online casino market is getting competitive and the market leaders have opened up a new sector mobile gaming. If you want to play while commuting to work or while waiting for an appointment then you can access your favorite online casino through your mobile phone and engage in real money wagering. We're certain that if you're an avid player of slots, or blackjack that you'll thoroughly be impressed with how they've implemented these games. The mobile gaming market is growing at a staggering rate. In 2007, players made 100 million casino plays through mobile phones. This is expected to reach 750 million casino plays by 2009. The revenue generated in the mobile gaming market was $3 billion in 2007, which is expected to rise to $16 billion by 2011. What explains this phenomenal growth is that everyone always carries a mobile hand set and as the penetration of the hand set increases so will that of mobile gaming. The pioneer in mobile gaming technology has been Spin3. Spin3 is a division of Spiral Solutions Ltd. It was the first to spot a convergence opportunity in the popularity of online casinos and mobile communication culture. Therefore it partnered with Microgaming, which is the leading online games software developer, to offer a turnkey package in mobile gaming. The package, known as GameWire, includes complete casino systems, Java based mobile games and marketing services. The following features have been incorporated in the package: outstanding graphics, user-friendly gameplay, information security using SpinLoc system, demonstration play, 24 x 7 customer support and viral marketing facility. Several leading online casinos are already offering mobile gaming services through Spin3. These include Royal Vegas and Platinum Play of the Fortune Group, 32Red, Ladbrokes, Wild Jack and online casinos from the Jackpot Factory Group. The suite of games currently offered by Spin3 has about 14 games including baccarat, roulette and video poker. A recent addition is Scratch 'n' Score, a football theme game. However the most popular games are blackjack, the slots game Tomb Raider and the progressive jackpot slots Major Millions. Major Millions is linked to the network of online casinos and shares the same progressive jackpot. Spin3 games are compatible with most hand sets. The list includes leading manufacturers such as LG, Motorola, Nokia, O2, Orange, Panasonic, Samsung, Siemens, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Vodaphone. A few months ago Spin3 introduced mobile games for Apple's iPhone. Till then the games available on the iPhone were stand alone games and competing with Nintendo rather than online casinos. Now the iPhone will have three games from Spin3 and iPhone users can engage in mobile gaming. But since online casinos are still largely PC based, Apple's iPhone is unlikely to disturb the mobile gaming market in a big way. Not sure how many of you have the iPAD yet but this device is definitely going to change the way we go about playing at online casinos I would say. It's amazing and I beleive that if online casinos get regulated and are able to get themselves a presence on the iPAD they'll do really well.

I've yet to see anything that I'm overly impressed with as of yet. I think it will be a while before we see anything overly impressive come about.

I'm keen on the idea of playing on my mobile phone but only when the games get up to par with that of what I get when I play online. Currently even Spin3 doesn't have games that match the quality of the gaming expereince that you get when you play online.

The Spin3 system for mobile online casino gambling is very impressive and likely the best online casino application for mobile gamers to date. I'm very interested to see if they do anything for the Android phone which I assume they likely will.

I personally myself don't really think that we're quite at that level as of yet as per having the technology for the delivery of games be as good as the actual games but we're really close. The new 3G and now I beleive 4G networks will certainly make a difference in how mobile gaming is approached. I beleive we'll see much more in terms of massive tournaments and big networked games become far more popular when people are on the go.

Haven't really tried it myself but I'm very much keen on getting into some of the mobile action and will certainly be giving Spin3 a try as it looks really great!

I've had a chance to try the mobile gaming app by Spin3 that was pushed to me while playing at Jackpot Factory a Microgaming online casino. I liked it at first but then found it to be quite unreliable when I was playing off the telco network as opposed to off a wireless connection though my iPhone. The games certainly are fun and it could have been a temporary glitch as I didn't play really all that much since I had a few issues. They have been expanding their library of games that they're offering though this is definitely great to see.

I've looked at some of the mobile casino applications out there and have tried pretty much all of them but I've found that one of them are all that great nor reliable. I find that the online mobile poker games are far more enjoyable and that I like to stick to playing casino games when I'm actually playing on my computer.

It's really yet to be seen how well these mobile gaming systems do. I really don't think things are there yet for this to become mainstream. You never really know but my thoughts on it are that the technology isn't there to support the die hard gamblers who really want a reliable system. Additionally I think that anyone would be in fear that these kinds of systems could be hacked fairly easily. I'm sure that Spin3 has thought of all those things and implemented sufficient security but like I said you really never know.

I've checked out and tried the Spin3 gaming platform on my iPhone and must say that I was actually surprised at how good the expereince was. I think that they still have some work to do on this but they have a very fine product and I only assume it will get better... Spin3 game is not too bad. I prefer playing Mobile BlackJack The graphics are really good and the Mobile Blackjack table is presented to give you the same view that you would have in an offline casino.
