If you are interested in playing Sic Bo whether online or in a land casino, it is imperative that you know some of the tips for winning the game. In Sic Bo you have three dice that will roll to determine if you will win or lose the bet you have placed. This game strategy is all about the bet you can make.
Our first tip is to always play either the small or big bet. While there are other bets to be placed, the small or big bet has the better advantage for you. In other words the house advantage is low. To be more specific, the probability of your winning is 48.6 percent on either a small or big bet. The house edge is 2.78 percent.
While the payout for the small or big bet is even money, it is easier to continue winning and slowly amass your fortune while gambling. You will not win every time you place the big or small bet. That is near impossible unless the game is rigged with the dice.
With a big bet you are betting on the three dice total being between 11 and 17. For example you would need to have the following combinations to win:
- Die 1= 4 or 5
- Die 2= 6 or 6
- Die 3= 1 or 4
The point is, any number combination that nets at least 11 or the max 17 is going to give you are win. For the small bet you need to be between 4 and 10. The above combinations would obviously not work in this case. Examples:
- Die 1= 2
- Die 2= 3 or 1
- Die 3= 5 or 1
In this example Die 1 in the second scenario would still need to be a 2 in order to total four. If you rolled all three dice as a 1 the small bet would be lost because the total would be 3 rather than 4. Luckily the chance of rolling all ones is very low, or even rolling 2 ones is very low.
By understanding how these bets work and that they have a higher probability than the other bets available, you can have more success at this game. There are a few things about these bets that could be a factor. First, any triple is an exception to your winning. For example if you have three fives for a big bet, you wouldn't win the even money. The reason for this is because there is a triple bet you can place that offers a great deal more of a payout, but very rare to get.
In Sic Bo you can't win a bet if the dice shows a win of a different bet like the triple example. Since that is a bet you can't win it by playing Big, just the same as if you were placing a triple and received a setup that would have won the big bet had it been placed.
