Rudolph’s Revenge is a video slot from Real Time Gaming. The slot game has 5 reels, 50 paylines, and a maximum bet of 50 coins. This is a Christmas themed slot game with a difference. Rudolph has rebelled because he is overworked. He takes his revenge by binding Santa and the elves and goes to have a ball. This tale is portrayed through some detailed graphics. Rudolph, the wild symbol, is shown wearing glasses, smoking a cigar and holding a baseball bat. The scatter symbol is a gift wrapped Time Bomb. Santa is bound by ropes. There is an Elf in Ice Block and a Gagged Elf. Santa’s Home in the North Pole is also a symbol. The remaining symbols are high value cards suitably gift wrapped.
The animations and sounds, when the main symbols make winning combinations, continue with the story. Rudolph swings his baseball bat and laughs menacingly. Rudolph’s Revenge is different in another way as well. All the betting options are fixed by the game. The default coin denomination is 0.04. The player has to wager with all 50 paylines enabled and can wager only one coin per payline. Hence his total bet per spin is a compulsory 2.00 which is deducted from his balance before the spin.
Rudolph is the wild symbol. It doubles the payouts when it substitutes for another symbol in order to make a winning combination. Five Rudolph symbols in an active payline trigger the progressive jackpot. The progressive jackpot cannot be hit in the free spins feature. In that feature five Rudolph symbols in an active payline payout a fixed jackpot of 5000 coins. The Time Bomb is the scatter symbol. Two or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels result in a scatter payout, which is multiplied by the total bet. Five scatter symbols have a payout of 20 coins. Three or more scatter symbols also activate the free spins bonus game. However the Time Bomb symbols need to appear left to right. Seven free spins are awarded in this feature. The free spins round is made interesting by a number of other features. The payouts are multiplied by 2 plus the number of Rudolph symbols on the screen. If the free spins feature has been triggered by 4 Time Bomb symbols then the Time Bomb symbols also act as wild symbols.
