Hockey Hero Review
Hockey Hero is a video slot game from Realtime Gaming. It has an ice hockey game theme and successfully creates the vibrant atmosphere present in such games. The hockey Player is the wild symbol and the player in the Penalty Box is the scatter symbol. The well padded Goalkeeper and the Referee blowing his whistle are other symbols. There are many ice hockey accessories on the reels. These include Rhino Mask, Trophy, Skates, Puck and Mask. Tickets are required to enter the game and what is a hockey game without Peanuts and Beer.
Only the wild and scatter symbols exhibit animations but these are excellent. The Player hits the puck with great force and it appears to break the glass screen with the word WILD appearing at the end of the animation. Clapping sound can be heard in the background as can the sound of the player hitting the puck. In the scatter symbol animation the player in the Penalty Box keeps grunting and banging against the box, enraged at having being sent there. There is no background music but the usual game sounds and win sounds have been incorporated.

Full Review - Hockey Hero (9.58)
In Hockey Hero players can enable up to 25 paylines. However they have to wager only one coin per payline. There is considerable flexibility in the coin denominations. The range starts at 0.01 and goes up to 5.00. There are many stops in the lower end of the range, which gives greater flexibility to low rollers. The Player is the wild symbol and appears only on Reels 2 and 4. Whenever it substitutes to make winning combinations it doubles the payouts.
The Penalty Box is the scatter symbol. Two or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels offer scatter payouts. When three or more scatter symbols appear anywhere on the reels the Free Games Feature is activated. Up to 18 free spins are awarded in this feature. The Peanuts symbol is removed from all the reels before the first free spin and a new Clock symbol is added to Reel 1. After every 3 free spins another symbol is entirely removed from the reels and a Clock is added to another reel. The free spins end when 18 free spins are completed or when two or more Clock symbols appear simultaneously on the reels.
After the Free Games Feature the Win-Win Bonus Feature can be triggered. For this to happen, all 25 paylines should have been enabled. Also the payout in the Free Games Feature should be less than or equal to 10 times the triggering bet. If there have been no payouts then a bonus prize of 200 times the triggering bet is awarded. If the payout has been between 0 and 2x the triggering bet, then a bonus prize of 20 times the triggering bet is awarded. If the payout has been between 2x and 5x the triggering bet, then a bonus prize of 10 times the triggering bet is awarded. If the payout has been between 5x and 10x the triggering bet, then a bonus prize of 5 times the triggering bet is awarded.
