Aztec's Treasure Review
Aztec’s Treasure is a video slot from the Real Series of slots from Real Time Gaming. The slot game has five reels, twenty paylines, and a maximum bet of 20 coins. The game has a theme of a wealthy ancient civilization, which is the Aztec civilization from Mexico. The symbols on the reels graphically portray this theme. The prominent symbols are Aztec King, Idol, Aztec Lady, Jaguar, Aztec Warrior, Coin and Necklace. The high card values are also stylized in Aztec fashion. The Aztec King is the wild symbol and the Idol is the scatter symbol. The scatter symbol activates free spins. The free spins feature tripled payouts and further free spins can be activated during the free spins.
There is some animation when the Aztec King substitutes to make a winning combination, but nothing spectacular. Music is played only during the free spins round. Full Review - Aztec's Treasure (9.15)
Before starting the game players will have to choose the coin denomination by operating the arrows next to the BET button. Coin denominations are 0.01, 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.25, 0.50, 1.00 and 5.00. Player will also have to enable up to twenty paylines by operating the arrows next to the LINES button. Winning combinations pay only if they occur in enabled paylines. In Aztec’s Treasure players are constrained to wager one coin per line by default. Once the settings have been completed the game can be started by clicking the SPIN button.
The Aztec King is the wild symbol and it appears only on reels 2, 3 and 4. There are no line payouts for this symbol. The Idol is the scatter symbol. Three or more scatter symbols anywhere on the reels result in a scatter payout, which is multiplied by the total bet. Five scatter symbols have a payout of 100 coins. Three or more scatter symbols also activate the free spins bonus game. Three scatters give five free spins, four scatters give fifteen free spins and five scatters give twenty-five free spins. Scatters appearing during free spins not only give bonus prizes but also re-trigger further free spins. All payouts during free spins, except bonus prizes, are tripled.
Aztec’s Treasure has a progressive jackpot that is hit randomly. It does not depend on the wagered amount and does not require any winning combination. The highest fixed jackpot is of 5000 coins when five Aztec Lady symbols appear in an enabled payline. Even if this symbol appears on the first reel only there is a payout of 2 coins. Aztec’s Treasure displays the vibrant symbols of the Aztec civilization. The reels are set in the backdrop of Aztec country. The music in this slot game however is found wanting.
