Playtech Signs Deal with SEGABy: Rick Balding, Sunday January 17th 20103 Comments Email Print In a news release from Isle of Man the leading online gaming software provider Playtech announced that it had entered into an agreement with SEGA Games Ltd. As per the agreement Playtech will provide its online gaming products to SEGA Poker and SEGA Casino. SEGA Casino and SEGA Poker will now offer its customers premier online gaming products developed and designed jointly by the SEGA research and development team and Playtech. That does seem really interesting... I wonder if they do start developing their own games Sega that is whether they'll have a Sonic the hedge hog type video slot game. I would think that the bonus rounds they could do would be off the hook!

That sounds really interesting... I wonder what the purpose is of this alliance above and beyond what's mentioned in the above article. I personally would think that Playtech want's to leverage on the relationships that Sega currently has with other partners and licensee. I've seen a news post about this in the past as well and have to say it's quite amazing and really awesome that they're doing this. I'm really excited for the fact that they are joining up. I do wish however that they did their own games and weren't relying solely on using the Playtech library of games.
