Playtech Online Casino Software Game HistoryBy: Joan Peppin, Friday January 29th 20101 Comment Email Print It is mandatory for online gaming software providers to incorporate transaction logging as a part of regulatory compliance. Every wager placed by every player in every game is archived. The objective is that in the case of a dispute the arbitrator should have access to all the information needed to arrive at a conclusion. Since this information is any way being collected, the better online gaming software providers allow players to access this information from within games. Playtech is one such software supplier. Players at Playtech online casinos can access the Game History of the particular game which they are playing. The function is available by clicking on the Menu button in the bottom toolbar. This displays a drop down box in which one of the functions is History. Selecting that function opens the Game History screen. The screen consists of two parts. On the top is the section for the configuration of the results. Two parameters can be configured. One is the Time Period. From a drop down box players can select Today, Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days and Specific Period. In the Specific Period option players can specify the start date and time and the end date and time. The second parameter is the number of results per page. The players can choose between 50 and 100. If the players choose 50 then the text in the results is larger but players will have to toggle between pages more often. Example of Slots History The bottom section of the screen displays the actual results in rows. There are several column headings that need brief explanations. The first column says Code, which specifies whether the wager was placed in the fun mode or real money mode. The heading for the second column is Date. This specifies the date and time of the wager. The third column specifies the bet amount, the fourth column specifies the win amount and the fifth column specifies the player's casino account balance at the end of the wager. The sixth column displays the result in graphic form. Whereas the fist five columns have a common format across all games the sixth column is game specific and needs to be understood separately for each game. In online slot games the graphic in the results column displays the final reels position. Clicking on this graphic reveals interesting details. A box opens that displays the position of each payline. In separate rows the payline number, the payline pattern, the amount wagered per payline and the amount won per payline are shown. At the end there is a row for the total in which the total amount bet and total amount won are shown, which tally with the amounts in the main table. Example of Roulette History In roulette games the graphic shows a section of the wheel with the ball nesting in the slot of the number called. Clicking on the graphic displays the outcome on each bet. For example if in one spin the player bet $1 on number 26, $1 on the first column and $1 on the 1st dozen and the red number 9 was called. The pop up box would show the Straight up: 26 in the first row with $1 in the Bet column and $0 in the Win column. The second row would show 1st column bet with $1 in the Bet column and $0 in the Win column. The third row would show 1st dozen bet with $1 in the Bet column and $3 in the Win column. The Total row would show $3 in the Bet column and $3 in the Win column. History is good for reviewing game play information. I was reading a thread just today about how Vegas Technology casinos don't offer any means of reviewing your game play history which is kind of crazy. I could have sworn that they used to do this. Anyways the Playtech approach to this seems to be relatively sound and easy to manage.
