Playtech Live Dealer Dual RouletteBy: Fabian Rictor, Monday July 30th 20120 Comments Email Print Dual Roulette is actually a facility provided by Playtech at many of its live dealer casinos like Casino Tropez. It permits players to select two of the available Live Roulette tables and wager on both simultaneously and in the same game window. Therefore there is no need to open another game. In Live Roulette time has to be given for the wheel to spin and for the players to place their bets. Many players feel that this is time lost from active wagering. Thus, as the Playtech guide says, “Dual Roulette gives you the ability to double your playing experience and minimize the idle time you spend between spins!” This is something practically not possible in real casinos. Players can select the specific Live Roulette tables they want from the main lobby of the Live Dealer Casino. The decision can be based on the compatibility with the live dealer conducting the game or any other criterion the player may have. All tables follow standard European Roulette rules. The two selected roulette wheels will not be synchronized and will not share bets or results. If a game round in progress the player will have to wait until it is completed before placing bets. Players must remember that in Dual Roulette they will have a limited amount of time to place a bet, unlike as in regular online casino roulette. Players can skip a turn by not placing any bets. Most Playtech Live Roulette tables support the Auto Confirm Bets feature. The Confirm Bets button does not appear after the player has placed the bets and the bets are not confirmed manually. All bets that are placed and not removed before the No More Bets signal are deemed to be confirmed. After all, the purpose of Live Dealer games is to replicate live casino environment. Players who are not comfortable with this feature can disable it from the options menu. Another aspect in land casinos is that players can see all the wagers of the other players. Playtech Live Dealer casinos incorporate this through the Community Chips feature. The first players’ bets are shown on the table and are visible to other players as well. The Community Chips are not shown with bet amounts. Players can also place multiple bets for the same spin if the betting round is still open. In Dual Roulette the game window is split between two Roulette tables. Each table displays its own information bar that includes bet and win amounts for the last round played. This is for the player’s bets only. The dealer and table name and the timer denoting how much time is left to place bets are also displayed. The live video feed of the Roulette wheel appears on the left hand side of each table. The video will zoom on the dealer before spinning and pan to zoom on the wheel till it comes to rest. Below the video feed is the Neighbors panel. This panel allows players to place Neighbor bets. The History slider on the right hand side of each table shows the results for the last 30 rounds played on that table.
