Playtech Launches Medusa’s Gaze

Playtech has one of largest collection of arcade games. It has just added two more games to that list. Conceptually these games are not novel, but the visual presentation is somewhat different.

The first of these new arcade games is Medusa's Gaze. Medusa is the Gorgon from Greek mythology whose gaze turned people into stone. Medusa has figured in quite a few online slots, but this is perhaps her first entrance in an arcade game. Medusa sits in the centre of the circle. Four circular sections revolve independently around her. There are eight radial sections, totally forming 12 paylines. Each cell contains a tile of a particular color. The objective is to get from three to eight tiles of the same color on a payline. The player can set the stake from 0.20 to 500 credits. Then he clicks the Play button to start the game. After every payout Medusa turns the winning tiles to stone and they disappear. The remaining tiles then cascade towards the centre to fill the empty spaces. After every cascade, the multiplier increases by 1. No additional stakes are charged to the player for the cascades. Only when there are no winning combinations left and the player activates the Play button again will his account be debited by the selected stake. The tiles of different colors have different values. At the bottom are the red tiles with payouts ranging from 0.1 to 150. At the top are the orange tiles with payouts ranging from 4 to 10,000. The white tile is the wild. It can substitute for any tile but does not pay by itself.

Wheel of Light is the second new Playtech arcade game. It is similar in conception to an earlier game titled Spin A Win. The wheel consists of numbers from 1 to 30 and 0. There are a wide range of bets available. The exact number bet is placed on one of 31 numbers. The color bet is placed on one of the four colored ranges. The number spread bet is placed on one of the five number ranges. The Hi bet covers the numbers 16 to 30 and the Lo bet covers the numbers 1 to 15. The Even bet covers even numbers and the Odd bet covers odd numbers. Players can only win on 0 by placing an exact number bet on it. It is not included in any other bet type. The players select a chip of the desired value and click on one of the designated areas on the wheel to place the bet. The odds are indicated as the cursor is moved over different placement areas. Players can place multiple bets on a single spin.
