Playtech Launches Innovative Online Slot

The leading software provider Playtech has released a new online slot game Funky Fruits that is structured differently from the usual video slots. Playtech calls this structure as Chain Reactor Game.

The objective of Funky Fruits is to obtain matching combinations of 5 or more vertically and/or horizontally adjacent symbols of the same kind. The six fruit symbols used in the game are Cherry, Lemon, Orange, Pineapple, Plum and Watermelon. The symbols are crafted in a comical style and not in the traditional classic slot appearance. They appear in a 5 x 5 matrix on the screen. If more symbols participate in the winning combination, the multiplier for the player’s bet will be larger. The multiplier also depends on the fruit symbol. 16 or more Lemon symbols multiply the player’s bet up to 5,000 times. The payouts of the different winning combinations are given in a payout table that can be accessed through the Info button. Winning combinations are paid and then the fruits explode allowing more symbols to drop down and form new combinations. Hence players can get a number of winning opportunities on the same spin.

The Funky Fruits game begins with the player selecting the stake amount. There are four fixed bet values that they can choose from. Because of the different format, there is no need to activate paylines or select the number of coins per payline. The game is then activated by clicking the Play button. As in regular online slots, Playtech has provided the Auto Play function in Funky Fruits. The Win field displays the amount won at the end of the spin.

Funky Fruits online slot offers a progressive jackpot. Therefore it is not available for free play. 1% of each player’s bet is added to the progressive jackpot. 0.5% goes to the seed and 0.5% to the increment of the current jackpot. When the seed reaches 10,000 times the maximum possible total bet, the entire 1% goes directly to the progressive jackpot. The Jackpot field displays the current value of the accumulated jackpot amount. A winning combination of 8 to 25 Cherry symbols hits the progressive jackpot. The full jackpot is awarded only if the player has wagered the maximum possible bet in the game. Lower bets award lower percentages of the progressive jackpot amount.

At the bottom of the screen is the casino toolbar. It contains the following information and functions. The player’s current balance is displayed. The Cashier button opens the cashier window for making deposits and withdrawals and accessing the transaction history.
