Playtech Casinos Affiliate in TroubleBy: Rick Balding, Friday April 23rd 20100 Comments Email Print Red Hot Revenue is an affiliate management program that handles the traffic to a group of online casinos such as Giant Vegas, Nuts Poker, Sierra Star and Royal Dice. All these online casinos are powered by the leading online gaming software provider Playtech. All has not been well with Red Hot Revenue and its members for quite some time now. Affected affiliate members have been posting their grievances at the website of Casino Affiliate Programs, which is a kind of watchdog organization. There are two issues that are constantly repeated. The first issue is that the affiliate members have not been paid for more than a year. The second issue is that no one from Red Hot Revenue is responding to communication from the members. The desperate affiliates are now badgering Playtech, the software provider to the concerned online casinos. They are warning Playtech that if the online casino owners are allowing the affiliate program to cheat its members today, tomorrow the casinos could well cheat its players. Apparently Playtech has refused to get drawn into this mess. According to Playtech the issue is between Red Hot Revenue and its members. Playtech is in no way connected, commercially or jurisdictionally, with Red Hot Revenue and cannot therefore intervene. There are reports that despite Playtech's official stand, the software provider did try and exert pressure on the casinos involved but without success. One post at Casino Affiliate Program read, "I have been in dialogue with the complaints officer, Sarah Wray, at Playtech for approx. half a year now. She has informed me that they are in contact with their licensee, and that they were applying pressure on them. However, the dialogue has now shown not to be fruitful, and Playtech has informed me that they have no power over their licensee." The affiliate members are feeling let down by all concerned. They know that whatever the legal link between Playtech and Red Hot Revenue may be or not be, if Playtech threatens to withdraw its software from the online casinos then the casinos will be galvanized into forcing Red Hot Revenue to pay up. It is a sense of déjà vu for the affiliate member community. Not too long ago they were taken for a ride by Grand Prive. The affiliate members of Grand Prive beseeched Microgaming, the concerned software provider in that case, to intervene but to no avail. In the end Grand Prive went to another software provider leaving Microgaming, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission and the affiliate members twiddling their thumbs. History is set to repeat itself.
