Online Payments Provider Skrill Offers Loyalty Rewards

Online payments solutions provider Skrill has had a good reputation since its Moneybookers days. In its new avatar of Skrill it has enhanced its product offering further. Now it has announced a partnership with Initial Rewards, which is a leading supplier of promotional merchandise and loyalty reward programs for the online gaming industry. Skrill will launch a loyalty points store for its VIP customers. This venture will operate through the regular web site of Skrill and will enable Skrill customers to purchase cash bonuses as well as the top of the line consumer branded products using their earned points. Joseph Hall, Leisure and Entertainment Vice-President from Skrill, said, “The new store will allow us to offer a unique rewards scheme to all of our VIP customers, giving them incentive to keep using Skrill and building on our differentiation in the wider marketplace.” He added that the new online VIP store is part of an ongoing commitment to rewarding customers and building loyalty. On this occasion Lee Reuben, Managing Director for Initial Rewards, emphasized that his company has had a long-standing solid relationship with Skrill and this partnership will allow it to serve Skrill customers more effectively.

Skrill is one of Europe’s largest online payment providers. With the likelihood of legalized online gambling in the United States, Skrill is intent on increasing its presence in North America. To this end Skrill had already acquired Paysafecard, another online payment provider, which has 50,000 distribution outlets in America. Now Skrill has appointed Neil Steinhardt, Managing Director of Paysafecard USA Inc, as CEO of Skrill USA Inc.

Steinhardt will be responsible for the management and growth of both Skrill and Paysafecard in USA. He will also be involved in shaping the evolution of e-wallets in America. The activities of both products will be centralized in New York. Steinhardt welcomed the challenge thrown at him. “This is an opportunity to work with one of the most forward looking companies in the payment space,” he said. Steinhardt added that he was looking forward to continuing to leverage the scale that Skrill has in Europe to make a positive impact in the US market.
