There is still a year to go for the London Summer Olympics but Omni Casino has announced that its own version will be held next month. In keeping with the grandness of the Olympic Games, Omni Casino has put up its largest ever prize pool of $12,500 for the event. The larger prize pool will be distributed over more paying places. The Omni Olympics slots tournament will be held from September 15 and run till September 30. The Opening Ceremonies Point Booster will begin on September 1 and run till September 14.

The format of the Omni Olympics is the same as the mega slots tournaments held earlier at Omni Casino. It does not matter if a player is a low bettor or a high roller; everyone has a chance at winning a prize within their betting levels. Participation in the slot tournament is automatic and free. It begins when the player starts wagering on the eligible slots games at Omni Casino. The eligible games are any 15 payline to 40 payline slots offered at Omni Casino. Players can join the tournament anytime they want, but the earlier they start wagering the better chance they have at winning. For each real money spin on any eligible slot game of the player's choosing he will earn one tournament spin point. Based on the total tournament points earned the players will be ranked in one of three leader boards. The leader board will automatically be chosen depending on the player's Average Bet range for the entire tournament.

The Opening Ceremonies Point Booster will enable players to bolster their initial balance of tournament points they carry to the Omni Olympics. Players whose total wagers from September 1 to September 14 lie between $5,000 and $15,000 will carry forward 1,000 tournament points. Players whose total wagers lie over $15,001 will carry forward 2,500 tournament points. These points are very important in the final reckoning and therefore should not be taken lightly. A new feature in the Omni Olympics is the $100 and $300 'Hurdles" Prize Booster. If players can "hurdle" their way past 75,000 or more real money spins with wagers of $0.45 or higher for the entire tournament, they will be awarded an extra 100 points. Omni Casino says, "Spin 125,000 and win an extra 300."

This week The Omni Times has two trivia questions. Players that deposited at least $300 between July and August can send their answer to the question "What year was the slot machine invented and by whom?" by September 2.
