The sporting feat took place in 1996, but it is never too late to celebrate. On September 28, 1996 Frankie Dettori achieved the feat of winning all seven races on a single day at the Ascot. The leading online gaming software provider Playtech has released a five reel and 25 payline video slot game to honor this achievement of the jockey. To commemorate the seven wins the online slot game is called Frankie Dettori's Magic Sevens.

The reels are set in the background of a race track and the symbols on the reels complement the racing theme. Dettori is the wild symbol and also offers a fixed jackpot of 7,777. This is an obvious tribute to the historic wins. There are two other Dettori symbols, one in a racing position and the other celebrating a win. The other symbols include a trophy, a horse shoe and a finishing post.

There are two special symbols. The Frankie Dettori's Magic Sevens Logo symbol is a scatter symbol and offers scatter payouts. But it also triggers the Free Games Race bonus round when three or more of these symbols appear on the reels. Players have to pick one of three horses in a simulated race. If they back the winner then they will be awarded 35 free spins, if their horse is in second place then they will be awarded 15 free spins and if their horse is last then they have to settle for 10 free spins. Bonus games cannot be won during the free spins but more wild and scatter symbols have been added on the reels to gee up the payouts.

The Magic Seven bonus round is triggered when the race track bonus symbol appears simultaneously on the first and fifth reels. A race track appears on the second screen and players have to keep picking spots. Some spots reveal credits which keep getting added. Other spots reveal a trophy. Every time this happens, the multiplier increases by 1, which is applied to all credits. The trophy also activates a video clip of Frankie Dettori registering one of his historic wins. Players can keep picking spots till they reveal a Collect symbol when their winnings are computed and they are taken back to the main game.

Frankie Dettori's Magic Sevens also features the trade mark Playtech Gamble Game. After every win players can activate this optional feature if they so wish. They can stake their entire winning or half of it in this double or nothing feature. One card is dealt face up and four cards are dealt face down. Players have to pick one of the face down cards and if it higher than the face up card the staked amount is doubled.
