New Cryptologic Blackjack Variants

In the last week of March Cryptologic introduced three new online blackjack variants. Each of them has something exciting to offer. Blackjack is a popular online casino game and new variants are welcomed by players.

The first variant is called Euro 2 Deck Blackjack. As the name suggests this game is played with two decks and the dealer is not dealt a hole card as per the European practice. The player can play up to five hands, which makes the game lots more fun. The other rules are the dealer stands on soft 17 or higher; the player can double on any dealt cards; split aces receive only one card on each ace and the player cannot hit on a soft total of 21.

The second blackjack game introduced is a new version of Progressive Atlantic City Blackjack. This plays the American way in which the dealer gets the hole card. The interesting feature of this game is the progressive jackpot. Players can place a $1 per hand progressive wager that pays out as specified in the payout table. The fixed payouts are as follows – two unsuited aces pay $25; two suited aces pay $100, three unsuited aces pay $250; four unsuited aces pay $1,500 and three suited aces pay $2,500. The jackpot is hit with four red aces or four black aces. The jackpot starts at $50,000, which is a fairly large amount. As in the earlier variant, the player can play up to five hands. The other rules are the dealer peeks for blackjack; the dealer stands on soft 17; only one split is allowed; the player can double on any dealt cards and the dealer can double after a split. The game is played with eight decks with the decks being shuffled after each hand. The features available in this game are enhanced graphics, player-protective hand warnings and three game speeds.

The final game is a new version of Single Deck Blackjack. Since the house edge decreases with the number of decks used, single deck blackjack games are immensely popular. The American practice of dealing the hole card is followed. The game is played with the following rules - the dealer stands on hard 17 or higher, split aces receive only one card on each ace, the player cannot re-split aces and an ace and a 10 value card following a split is not considered a blackjack. There is a minimum bet of $25.00 per hand and the game is only available in Single Player version.

In all games blackjack has the usual payout of 3 to 2 and insurance has the payout of 2 to 1. Also the games have exciting playing features like fully re-sizable window, new enhanced audio, auto bet feature and auto strategy feature. The enhanced audio includes authentic animations and audio that replicates the ‘cards in hand’ style of play that is commonly found in land casinos.

Sounds very cool I think I'm definitely going to check it out and give it a shot. It's not very often that new non-slots games are released by online casino software companies so it's kind of refreshing when these types of games are released.
