New Blockbuster Games from Playtech

Playtech, the online gaming software developer and provider, has announced the release of a new game. The game has been provided to MeccaBingo.com and is based on the popular television quiz series, Blockbusters. MeccaBingo.com operates under its parent company, Rank Interactive.

Playtech has announced that Blockbusters Bingo is based on the Blockbusters program that was first screened in the UK in the 1980's. The game has been made available through Playtech's recently acquired gambling platform provider which is licensed in Alderney - Virtue Fusion Limited.

The new online bingo game will be familiar to many UK customers as it follows the same format at the Blockbusters show which was screened in the UK for almost two decades. Each ticket in the Blockbusters game includes twenty yellow hexagonal shapes that contain letters in place of the traditional bingo numbers.

Angus Nisbet, Head of Gaming for Rank Interactive stated: "Branded online bingo games are among the most popular on MeccaBingo.com and I am sure that Blockbusters Bingo will be another success." He continued: "Playtech's Virtue Fusion has created a fantastic product and I am positive it will strike a cord with fans of the show and be well-liked by new players too."

The new game contains exciting additional features on top of its standard bingo game. If the first five numbers called contain the letters B, I, N, G or O in any order, the Community Blockbusters Bingo Jackpot will be awarded. There is also a special Gold Run feature which awards a prize to those who have been left with only one letter remaining when the final prize is won.

He continued that "We recently created Britain's Got Talent Bingo for the site, which was very well received, so we are delighted to have been asked to provide this game as part of its exclusive agreement with Blockbusters."
