Avoid Using Neteller if you Can
Rating: by: Allok, on August 05, 2009
Pros: No advantages
Cons: Fraud, no customer service, $30 for every 14 month, $10 for every withdrawal, withdrawals will not be cashed out but fee will be charged plus additional fee
I was using Netteller about 2 years ago, at that time everything worked fine. I just had to send them copies of my passport and utility bills after they blocked my account. Ok, can happen.
* But after 14 month of inactivity they send me an email to charge my account with $30 (!!!) if I don't make an transaction.
* So I was going to cash out $66 I got in there. Next surprise: they silently raised the withdrawal fee from 0 to $10 (without any notice).
* I cashed out anyways but never received my money, no reaction of Neteller.
* Two weeks later they credited the amount back to my neteller account. Less the $10 fee. And less some other $3 fee. Now I got only $53 in my account and nothing has happened, a new withdrawal would be $10 + x again. No reaction of customer service.
I don't have any hope in seeing my $66 again. Don't sign up with them.

I'm with the two of you and agree that NETeller is actually a very good banking option and solution especially now that they're properly regulated and they've sorted though most of the issues that were plaguing them when they were charged for being involved in still servicing the US market after the passing of the UIGEA.
