In the last week of January Neteller signed up two important clients in the online gaming industry. These are Sky Betting and Gaming and SEGA Casino. Neteller also won the Best Payment System award at the iGB Affiliates Awards.

Being chosen by Sky Betting and Gaming is a major feather in the cap of Neteller. This gaming operator runs a number of popular sites such as Sky Bet, Sky Poker, Sky Vegas and Sky Bingo. The traffic at these sites runs over 150,000 players per week. This is likely to boost Neteller's revenue significantly. According to Bernard Casey, head of Gaming Operations at Sky Betting and Gaming, Neteller's reputation as being the number one e-wallet in the online gaming industry was the reason behind the choice. It is significant to point out that Neteller is the first e-wallet option accepted by Sky Betting and Gaming, whose customers now need an alternative to credit cards. Apart from allowing players to deposit funds using Neteller, the Neovia package will allow players to withdraw funds using the Net+ pre-paid card.

SEGA Casino is the online casino of Sega Games Limited. The deal between Neteller and SEGA Casino was finalized at the International Gaming Expo. Players at SEGA Casino can carry out financial transactions through Neteller in British pounds and euros. Deposits using Neteller will be credited instantly, whereas withdrawals will be processed within 24 hours. A press release by SEGA Games stated, "Having the Neteller e-wallet gives our players the assurance that we are providing an experience they can enjoy with the confidence that their money is safe and secure."

The iGB Affiliate Awards were announced at a star-studded ceremony in London. The Best Payment System award for 2009 went to Neteller. This is for the third year in a row that Neteller has won this award.
