More Bingo Side Games Released by MicrogamingBy: Shirley Spicer, Tuesday September 29th 20092 Comments Email Print In August 2009 Microgaming had released eight bingo side games. These games were meant to be played in bingo halls while players waited for the balls to be drawn. As a testimony to the popularity of such side games Microgaming has now released a set of nine more bingo side games. This was announced through a press release made late last week from the Microgaming headquarters in the Isle of Man. The games mix consists of video slots, casual games and scratch cards. The advisory from Microgaming points out that though these games are termed as "side games" they required sophisticated software. Also, apart from fulfilling the time structuring need, these games provide opportunities to win. Scratch cards are very popular as side games because they are simple and quick. The two scratch cards added in September are Whack-A-Jackpot and Foamy Fortunes. Whack-A-Jackpot is based on a popular fairground game in which players use a mallet to keep the mechanical moles out. In the scratch card players finding three matching amounts stand to win up to 10,000 times the wagered amount. In Foamy Fortunes players have to pop bubbles to reveal prizes. However if a rubber duck is revealed then it is game over. The casual game is an accumulator card game known as Killer Clubs. It is a simple game in which a shuffled deck is placed face down. The top card is then exposed. If that card happens to be a club the player loses his wager. However if it happens to be a card of any other suit then the player wins additional chips. The two pub style slot games released in August were very popular. Hence Microgaming has added two more similar games. The first one is a three reel single line slot game called Spin Crazy. It has the holds, nudges and reel features prevalent in pub style slots. In the feature game players get to spin a wheel and win bonus and mystery prizes depending on which segment the wheel stops. Money Star is the second pub style slot game that has a cash point façade. Players who draw a golden star receive a random unannounced number of free spins. The slots are makeovers of popular Microgaming online casino games. There are two video slots in the games released. Halloweenies offers a trick or treat theme with a bonus game and free spins feature. Clearly this is aimed at the coming Halloween season. Summertime has a wild symbol that doubles payouts and a scatter symbol that activates free spins. The 3 reel slots are Bar Bar Black Sheep and Thousand Islands. Bar Bar Black Sheep is a spoof on the popular nursery line. It has quirky graphics and a universal appeal. Related News News Item Tools Email Print Digg Del.icio.us StumbleUpon CommentsAdd Comment

That's great news I know that the last bingo side games they released were certainly a big winner with me! I like having the ability to play side games I think that they should perhaps even introduce such a concept in slots games where you can play other games simultaneously for example while you're in auto play!
