Moneybookers Casino Banking Method ExcelsBy: Joan Peppin, Thursday January 28th 20101 Comment Email Print Moneybookers is one of the most popular e-wallets used to fund online casinos. It has just released its trading statement for the financial year 2009. Along with that co-chief executives Martin Ott and Nikolai Riesenkampff listed several landmarks achieved by Moneybookers in 2009, making it one of the best years for the financial services provider company. With Moneybookers adding on more than 13,000 new customers every day, the year-on-year growth rate of customers was an impressive 64% during 2009. In the process Moneybookers signed up its 10 millionth customer to its e-wallet. Moneybookers outperformed the market in 2009. The growth in online transaction volume for the industry has been only 15%. Against this Moneybookers experienced a surge in eCommerce volume of 120%. The individual online players and others who use the e-wallet is only one segment serviced by Moneybookers. The other segment is the merchants at whose web sites the actual transactions are carried out. In 2009 Moneybookers increased its online merchant base from 35,000 to 60,000. Big names such as eBay.com, Playfish, Skype and Thomas Cook began to accept payments from Moneybookers last year. It is not only the transactions that have shown a remarkable growth, but the business has also grown money wise. Moneybookers has witnessed doubling of deposits in customer accounts in 2009. As a result of all these fantastic achievements Moneybookers was the sixth fastest growing UK technology company as indicated in the influential Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 league table. The staff head count increased from around 250 to 400 in order to manage this growth. This success hardly comes as a surprise because Moneybookers has an operational base that is way ahead of competition. It has over 80 local payment options in more than 200 countries integrated by a worldwide banking network. Moneybookers offers low transaction costs and has market-leading security and risk management expertise. Customers are assured of protection against identity theft and merchants are assured of protection against charge back. The achievements of Moneybookers are not self proclaimed. At the 2009 Media Momentum Awards Moneybookers won the Best Execution and Judges’ awards. Martin Ott summed up the achievements of Moneybookers by saying, "We are delighted that our eWallet is now being used by over 10 million customers. Its convenience and ease of use makes it extremely popular and more than 13,000 new customers are signing up for an account every day. In addition, customers are making more use of their eWallet with deposits doubling since the start of the year. Merchants are benefiting from this with a substantial increase in customer conversion rates. Moneybookers continues to go from strength to strength and we are confident of building on this momentum into 2010." I really like the moneybookers banking method and thing that for those of you out there who haven't used it as of yet that you'll like it if you try it. I like it actually much better then NETeller they're not as anal about certain things and I find this to be rather pleasant.
