More and more online casino operators are offering games from multiple software providers. Microgaming the leading software provider to online casinos, does not want its licensees to lose out on competition. It has adopted a novel method of ensuring that its online casino operators get a larger variety of games.

Microgaming has tied up with online slots provider Magnet Gaming to distribute the latter’s gaming content to its operators via the Quickfire platform. The agreement involves all 12 of the Danish software provider's slot games. Some of the more popular titles are Space Gems, Candy Kingdom, and Vikings. Space Gems was launched in December 2015. Though the theme has now become common, Space Gems has several unique features. The reels are set on a 3×3 grid and there are a number of bonus games. In the Black Hole bonus all the symbols on the reel are sucked into the black hole and you win a prize based on the last symbol that is left on the reels. The Game Flash bonus awards 25 free spins with a locked symbol feature. The other bonus features are equally attractive and one of them leads to a progressive jackpot. Candy Kingdom went live in January 2016. Players who pick and mix the cute candy symbols have the chance to enter four delicious bonus games sprinkled with prizes and two progressive jackpots.

Magnet's Head of Game Licensing, Thomas Nielsen, emphasised that the deal was strategically important to the company and marked a milestone in its history. He said, “We have partnerships with the leading brands in our native Danish market, but securing similar deals with their international counterparts will take us to the next level.” He added that both Microgaming and Magnet share aspirations to be leaders in casino gaming software and he was excited about working with such a well-established and much-respected platform like Quickfire.

Tom Chamberlain, head of Quickfire at Microgaming also released a statement. He said that Quickfire was impressed with the quality of Magnet games and their focus on HTML5 build. He added, “Intent on continuing to deliver the most sophisticated gaming platform to the industry, as well as the best content, Magnet Gaming is a welcome addition to Quickfire." Microgaming has already tied up with Rabcat Gaming and titles like Dragon’s Myth, Forsaken Kingdom and Castle Builder are popular at Microgaming online casinos. No date has yet been specified as to when the Microgaming operators will get the Magnet games. But expectations are definitely high.
