Slots games at online casinos aren't quite at the level that they're at when you go to a land based casino and you play the slots games there. I think and from what I read found is that because online casino software providers don't have the same unique ability to control the gaming environment (ie. the type of PC the end users have) that they can't yet create games that are up to the standard that say some of the IGT and WMS games that you'll find in land based casinos are like.
Of the online casino software providers out there the one that I've latched onto and play at mostly are casinos powered by Microgaming software also often times referred to by players as MGS (Microgaming Systems). They have some of the most advances slots games that I've been able to find and play for real money to date online. There is a new software provider out there that is showing some promise for potential to become a key player in the industry as a leader in slots gaming but they don't have any clients yet and you can only play their slots games for free. The one I speak of is called Wizard Gaming. Anyways for now though Microgaming slots are still the best as far as what I've found. Realtime Gaming slots suck as do those of what you'll find at the likes of Vegas Technology and Cryptologic if you ask me not very polished and lacking in the same kind of variety in terms of game set that are available at Microgaming online casinos.
Overall they have the most games with free spins features as well as bonus features with some variety outside of the standard pick and choose type bonus round slots games that you'll find dominating the web. Also a huge selection of progressive games with some of the biggest progressive jackpots that I've also found online.
The one pitfall to their software which is one that likely cannot be avoided mainly due to the sheer size of their library of online casino games is just that size. The size of Microgamings suite of games when everything is downloaded can be in excess of 1.5GB which isn't too bad considering that you'd have the ability to play over 300 games. Just keep that in mind when you're downloading and installing their software as you do need to keep that much space at least available on your hard drive as they push all the games to your PC once you install their software with no real option to choose whether you want to download the games at you own request.

They have always been a leader in software development among those companies out there that develop gaming software. I think that their casino games and pretty much overall are my favorite online casino software provider. I don't think that this day in age that the large size of the entire casino suite of games should be an issue for people as hard drive sizes have increased significantly in the past few years.
