Microgaming QuickFire Hosts Online ConferenceBy: Ryan Alders, Sunday May 27th 20120 Comments Email Print QuickFire, the open software platform developed by Microgaming, has hosted a unique conference for online casino operators subscribing to its games and also for its development partners. The QuickFire Developers Conference was held on May 15 and May 16 at the Fontwell Park Racecourse conference centre in West Sussex. Over 40 operator delegates and 12 development partners attended this first of its kind conference. A press advisory from QuickFire stated that the objective of the conference was to discuss cutting-edge technology and the development of the QuickFire platform. It provided an open forum where development companies could network, gain knowledge from QuickFire technical experts and contribute to the QuickFire open platform strategy. Two of the topics discussed at the QuickFire Developers Conference were open platform systems and independent software development. But the highlight of the workshop was undoubtedly the 'Development Partner Software Development Life Cycle' in which the QuickFire team outlined the criteria required to make a successful development partner. The press release said, "The QuickFire team explained what they look for from their development partners and the ideal synergy between all the parties involved." The conference also provided an opportunity for high profile operators to express what they require from suppliers and what according to them constituted the ideal operator supplier relationship. Both days of the QuickFire Developers Conference included networking sessions, breakout workshops and classroom presentations. Some of the QuickFire operators that had sent their representatives were Betsson, Unibet, BetClic and Sky Betting & Gaming. At the end, the highly informative and productive conference was declared a success by the operators, development partners and the QuickFire team. Some of the operators released a joint statement, "As panel members at the QuickFire Developers Conference, we found the event to be a refreshing approach to supporting the delivery of innovative new gaming content to the market." The statement lauded the lead taken by QuickFire in bringing together development partners and operators. Ashley Sandyford-Sykes, QuickFire spokesperson, was thrilled at the success of the QuickFire Developers Conference. He said that the event enlightened all parties as to each other's needs and strengthened the common belief that a continued focus on the quality and innovation of gaming content was necessary. Sandyford-Sykes added that this industry first event was highly successful and that QuickFire would be holding similar workshops in the future. QuickFire offers a versatile and hassle free gaming experience for both operator and player. One of its advantages is fast and seamless integration into any existing online casino system. As of now the core suite contains over 250 tried and tested, premium titles that include blockbuster slots like Thunderstruck and licensed products like Tomb Raider. New games are added every month.
