Microgaming Previews New Online Casino GamesBy: Adam Baker, Thursday January 29th 20092 Comments Email Print There is a lot of uncertainty in the online gaming industry. The governments are pushing in one direction and the operators in another. New casinos are opening their portals while old ones are closing down. No one knows for sure how the economic downturn will affect online gaming. But amid this entire uncertainty one thing is certain. Microgaming will come out with new casino games every month. Four new games were released on the 12th of January. While players are still coming to terms with these casino games Microgaming has announced the release of its next set of four games. The three slot games will be released on the 5th of February and the table game by the middle of the month. A preview of the games can be had at Roxy Palace Casino, which is always one of the first to break the news about new Microgaming casino games. The only way to describe Microgaming is "Juggernaut" It is moving ahead relentlessly uncaring of what is happening around it. If the sheer quantity of the games is staggering, the innovativeness displayed by Microgaming knows no limits. Last year it introduced Level Up Video Poker, which has changed the way video poker is being played. The table game being released in February is a variant of casino poker that has the player facing two dealers. The game is called Triple Pocket Poker Gold and it belongs to the prestigious Gold Series of Microgaming table games. The brief game play goes as follows. The player is dealt the first set of pocket cards that he can keep or discard. If he discards them then they go to the first dealer. The player is then dealt the second set of pocket cards that he can keep or discard. If he discards them then they go to the second dealer. The player then has to keep the third set of pocket cards dealt to him. In the ante bet the player can win a payout of 40 to 1 by beating both dealers. The other rules of Triple Pocket Poker are as follows. No bet is placed after the flop, turn or river, normal poker hand rankings apply, equal ranked hands result in a push and wins pay at even money. Bonus payments are made at 40 to 1 for Royal Flush, 10 to 1 for Straight Flush, 5 to 1 for Four of a Kind, 4 to 1 for Full House and 2 to 1 for Flush. The game is played with a single deck of cards. The three slots being released are Track and Field Mouse, Bearly Fishing and Burning Desire. Track and Field Mouse is a three reel slot while the other two are five reel slots. I wish I could play these games... As a US player I can't play at Microgaming powered online casinos. I found a good list of online casinos accepting U.S. players here on Casino Advisor in their US Online Casinos section. The new Bearly Fishing game looks like a great game I'm really looking forward to playing this game! It reminds me of a WMS game that I've seen before which I loved playing at land based casinos in Vegas and other casinos I've seen it at. I think this new set of Microgaming games are going to be great ones!
