Microgaming Online Slots In New Avatars

Microgaming has a knack of increasing the active longevity of its best online slots. It has created a mechanism by which these games can be presented in new avatars. In the latest announcement from the software provider two hit online slots have already gone live in a new format. They can be accessed at all Microgaming online casinos like Spin Palace, Crazy Vegas and Platinum Play.

The first of these is Immortal Romance. This is a fairly new game that has been reconfigured for the online slots tournaments that are an integral feature of the gaming at Microgaming online casinos. The press release describes Immortal Romance as “a five reel, 243 way video slot … where players are swept away into a dark and dangerous domain of paranormal romance.” Such blockbuster slots are not usually inducted in the tournament format so soon after release, but with Immortal Romance Microgaming seems to have made an exception.

Immortal Romance will make its slot tournament debut with the Monthly Monster online tournament – a fitting event for a game of high stature. The tournament will start on Monday February 25 at all Microgaming online casinos. The guaranteed prize pool stands at a heart pounding $30,000 and will be shared equally by the top 30 players. The entry fee is $25, and for a smaller fee players can buy a number of Continue Play Options and Rebuys. These extend the time and the bankroll allotted to the player. The Monthly Monster is a single round event. The February Monthly Monster is expected to draw high traffic because it will be played on Immortal Romance. There is a limit of 1,000 seats and these are filling up fast.

The second Microgaming online slot game in the news is Avalon. It is an ancient game compared to Immortal Romance and it “transports players back to a mystical land of knights and castles and sets them on a quest to win big”. Avalon is already on the Microgaming slots tournaments portfolio. It has now been structured as a multi-player slot game, the fourth launched by Microgaming. The other three titles are Isis, No Worries and Wheel of Wealth. The press release says, “This community slot provides a unique social experience for players, with a host of avatars to choose from and a built-in chat feature for community interaction.” Six players share a room and play individually. Whenever the free spins feature is triggered, the payouts won will accrue to each of them. Each player will have his individual payout multiplier. This will be determined by a new concept introduced in multi-player Avalon, which is the bonus thermometer. The more players spin, the higher the thermometer will go and the larger the multiplier will be.
